i had the littlest pulled pork sandwich available along with a side of salad. it was cool that any salad could be a side. i had the one with bleu cheese and enjoyed it, although it wasn't specifically memorable. the little sandwich, on the other had, was much bigger than i expected. i removed about half the meat to taste a little with each sauce, then decided on the ketchupy, thickish red sauce. the meal was perfect after not having eaten for most of the day. my prior meal had been the 3 am breakfast at uptown cabaret - highly recommended, by the way, especially the french toast sticks, although i know they were just dropped frozen into a fryer.

banana pudding, the highlight of our meal. the bbq was ok... i have had better, but we ordered their banana pudding and i was in heaven.

good food. slow service. i went after a drive game and they were so understaffed. i had to go to the hostess to order and our server happened to be over there and was extremely rude and said "one second". i probably won't come back bc of the server. so rude

good enough to eat. my wife and i like mac's (south boulevard) for the bbq and smoked wings. i tried the blackened grouper once and was very pleased. it's a comfortable place to enjoy a casual meal but it can get loud at times. as far as other comments about "going downhill", i haven't seen it and i've been eating there since it opened.

i went too macs again...service was terrible ...it took 20 minutes too get a drink..forty minutes to get the food...it was cold upon arrival..the manager kevin smelled of alcohol and smoke...never again.

great bbq and sports in greenville. this place is awesome. first time ther to watch march madness. my date and i had ribs, pork and chicken...what can i say but the best bbq ive ever had hickory smoked, juicy, and hot. the selection of craft beer was amazing over 200, with 60 on draft!!! thankfully the server helped me navigate the selection....the manager even gave me a free homemade bannana pudding for my birthday...big screen tv's everywhere and dont forget to try the mac and cheese, simply the best

love love love this place! the food is delicious no matter what you order and the atmosphere is always fun. i would recommend this to anyone coming to charlotte from out of town or wanting to try something new.

awesome. just went here on a friday night with family and friends. fast service, amazing food. got the pulled pork bbq, collard greens - best ever!!! and cheese grits. i could have eaten a whole plate of cheese grits! and the greens were amazing - spicy and tangy at the same time. loved the carolina sauce with my bbq. highly recommend!!!

staff was friendly right from the start. service was immediate and order was speedy to deliver. had an awesome brew list and my brisket was delicious.

they have a very good selection of beer along with good daily specials for the beer.  the bbq was a bit bland, but surprisingly, the tacos (my wife ordered them) were pretty good.  i'd definitely go again.

this edition of excited about eating takes us to charlotte and to a bbq joint whose team has competed and won on the bbq trail. mac’s speed shop offers a wide range of food including wings, salads, mexicue, and, of course, bbq. dora here. anyone else curious as to how they came up with that name? just wondering. lol. we were among the few to brave high 90 degree temps to enjoy their spacious outdoor patio, which really was quite nice. most everyone opted for a/c and chose to eat inside. even so, service was fast and efficient, and the server helpful with suggestions.

i've been here several times, good food and it's always on point.

this time we got the kick ass hog skins, southern loop burger and the smoked grilled wings. the hog skins were awesome and i never have any complaints about the wings. the burger was good, a bit under what we asked and charred. it was a bit too much for me but she loved it so that's all that matters.

the food and the service were great.

mac's is kind of a mixed bag. overall i think people go there because they have an excellent outdoor seating are and it's a great place for beers on a sunny afternoon. their beer selection is excellent as well. the problem is that their service is usually very bad- terrible, and on 1 occasion was so bad that the manager apologized and comped our entire meal. their food is a little better, but really not anything special. for a place that considers itself a bbq restaurant, their pork is really bad. i've been 3 times and the best things have all been mexican dishes like nachos or quesadillas (pretty easy stuff). in summary, it's a good bar but a pretty bad restaurant.

i stopped in mac's for some dinner last night, the place was completely full but the staff did a great job at getting us seats fairly quickly. they have a huge selection of beer and plenty of local stuff as well, this is a huge plus for me. i got the route 66 burger with fries, both were great. i will for sure be back and recommend this place for anyone looking for a burger or some bbq.

loved it, not exactly your normal/bar scene, pleasant staff and good eats! i enjoyed the chicken nachos, beware of the jalepenos they a touch hotter than your normal pickeled jalepenos but still very tasty. loved the $3 mystery beers, it adds an element of risk! over all, great dining experience!

went here last night and wasn't happy with the food. both my friend and i had the southern loop primarily because it had pimiento cheese on it and when it came out i could barely find any. in addition, the burger was burned really badly. a manager came over and asked us about the food and i mentioned the two things mentioned above and he said, "the burger is supposed to be burned" and he would get us more pimiento cheese. i've never heard that pure supposed to burn a burger but whatever. he did bring back a large amount of pimiento cheese though.

i've been here once before and it wasn't bad, but i won't be back which says a lot since i'm an easy customer to please. i will say that they did address the issue, but in my opinion they could have done more.
