i find ourselves at the lure for breakfast when we’re visiting victoria from vancouver.

the staff is attentive and super nice. they seem to be always near by when needed.

the food is consistent and exceeds my expectations. i find the breakfast meals are just the perfect portion and offers great value!

the lure is definitely not like other hotel restaurants offering mediocre food.

i would definitely recommend to friends and family!

we sat in the lounge to watch game 6 of round 1 (canucks of course) during our stay at the delta. the whole restaurant/lounge has a wonderful view of the harbour making it bright and open during the day and a great view of the nightlife in the evening. my husband had the wings during the first period and i had the mussels both amazing. apparently the best wings he's ever had, and some of the best mussels i've ever had. then i got brave and tried two fresh shucked oysters for the first time ever, and i may have become a convert! during the second period my husband had a roasted tomato, spinach, and feta risotto with grilled chicken. and i had the most amazing piece of sable fish- no piece of any fish- i have ever put in my mouth. it was lightly poached in olive oil and then quickly sautéed on both sides for some colour and seasoned with salt and pepper. if this wasn't delectable enough, the mashed potatoes had bits of salt cod that had been treated to a milk bath prior to inclusion. crisp asparagus rounded off the meal. during the third period we were too full to have dessert, but that's ok because even though the canucks outplayed the hawks, they were still beaten and taken to game 7.

we had a group or 16 when we visited so that's tasking on any restaurant but i was pleasantly surprised by the good service and the attentive waiter. the restaurant is in a fabulous location although we were a little ways from the windows i don't think there's a bad seat in the house. the lunch was very good and they had a good selection of beverages as well, think i'll try it in a more intimate situation i'm sure i won't be disappointed.

we enjoyed the stunning view of the inner harbour from our table in lure restaurant, while we studied the menu and decided on our drinks. i chose a glass of gewürtztraminer from thornhaven winery in summerhill, british columbia while my companion drank a citrus chamomile tea from mighty leaf teas. tags delta victoria dining review lure victoria restaurant review read more

business lunch. six of us went on a business lunch on a monday in may. the restaurant was empty, but the hostess told us it would take "ten minutes" to put together our table for six, if we wanted one by a window (we did). okay. when we were finally seated, it was a beautiful table, but the service remained slightly harried and inattentive (they must have been short staffed).

we all ordered the inevitable business lunch soda-water-with-lime, and five minutes later the waitress came back to say their soda machine was broken (postscript: they comped us several bottles of san pellegrino). no ice, and wine glasses for the pellegrino - still feeling a little odd.

on the plus side, the meals were served promptly and piping hot, and the food was excellent. i had a spinach, basil and asparagus risotto with a side of grilled prawns (risotto dishes here are always vegetarian - you choose your own meat), and it was modestly portioned, fresh and very good. my neighbours' seafood pasta looked huge, and delicious. same for the clubhouse and mixed green salad across the way from me.

i agree with previous posters who noted this restaurant has the best ocean view in victoria - definitely true. it's probably best used as a brunch place, since there's a beautiful walk along the ocean right out the front door.

don’t. just don’t. made reservations for christmas dinner months ago and had to prepay for the meal. when we arrived we were asked to wait at the bar and they would come for us. other parties came and were seated and at 20 mins past our scheduled reservation time i went to find out what was going on. that’s when the obvious lies started. they had so obviously given away our table. i remember you from last year! no, we’ve never been there before. we have one of the best tables in the place for you! right - the hall in the bar is always considered a prime area in a restaurant. when i reserved a table i asked for a quiet table as my daughter has a medical condition and loud noise causes her pain and my elderly father has hearing issues. as it was christmas there was really nowhere else to go. the bar is noisy! we requested the restaurant-not the bar. they offered to turn down the music but by desert it was louder than ever. not much dinner conversation for what will probably be the last christmas dinner ever with my father. way too many hosts (3 to 4) for such a small restaurant. no wonder they screwed up so badly. if you are looking for somewhere nice for a special occasion, go anywhere else. the food was ok, but the experience leaves a bad taste in my mouth (and ringing in my ears).

very bad quality food and very expensive compare to what you get, even the basic things was not done in a acceptable way, the raw materials used is not even fresh

we had the crab cakes and a flat bread with pulled pork to start and they were both amazing! the crab cakes were so fresh with an amazing crunchy outside, and the accompanying sauces paired perfect! we also tried the cobb salad, and it didn't disappoint either! food made for a great dining experience. views were definitely not bad either!!

first time dining at lure - and to top it off, we had a nice summery day at their patio. staff were friendly and service was good. i wasn't too impressed with the brunch/lunch menu options though. they could've added more to the frittata (aka a side of hash browns? it was looking a bit stingy for the money they're asking for). items ordered were: albacore tuna, crab cakes, frittata, florentine benedict, and fish n chips.

went for the happy hour and were seated by the window and had an excellent view of inner harbour.

we took advantage of the half price appetizers and ordered the mojito, caesar, yam and herb fries, lamb meatballs, fried chicken wings, artisan breads, edamame and bbq pork poutine.

overall, we enjoyed the ambiance, the staff/service was welcoming and the good value meal.
