lunch. | supper!

my harem and i decided to give supper a try. we arrived at supper but were asked if we want to eat in lunch instead - they had immediate seating. we chose that option.

weorderedthe charcuterie plate app - very nice. for entrees, my wifeorderedthe mediterranean stuffed portobello mushrooms, our friendorderedshrimp and grits, and iorderedthe braised boneless short ribs and the brussel sprouts.

we all enjoyed the flavors and pairings - the only issue was that my wife's and my entrees were _extremely_ salty - almost too salty to enjoy.

we tried several desserts and enjoyed them all. the baileys chocolate cake was particularly decadent.

in all it was an ok experience, but i'm conflicted as to whether i should give them another try.

service is important too!. the meal iorderedwas ok, it was the crab cake sandwich. nothing too outstanding.

the service is what i really had a problem with, the bartender (short w dark hair) that waited on me needs to improve her customer service skills. although i left a tip (15%) i regretted it once i returned to my car. needs to go back to bartending school!

a property and business owner in the neighborhood. first time i visited lunch had just opened. iordereda salad and i got lettuce, iceburg lettuce, nothing else. second time i ate in and had a pretty decent sandwich. fast forward a year later and i order for take out. again, a salad, which for whatever reason didn't make it into the system. so while i waited for the salad to be made, i paid. i had to ask for my change. i do believe it will be my last time trying lunch or supper. while the food is fine, it isn't unique or special. i've gotten better service elsewhere where the food is just as good. it is really disappointing to be treated as if i were the problem with my order not the fact that you all screwed up.

represents it's namesake very well. i phoned in an order to lunch for well, lunch. weorderedthe parker field and the jimmy k. both were huge sandwiches on very fresh bread. the bacon was perfectly cooked and there were ample toppings. we alsoorderedtwo sides of deviled eggs which lived up to the "southern standard." the dining area is very small and cramped so i would recommend getting a to go order or dining in during the slower hours. highly recommended.

missed the mark but not writing off. we went here for brunch on a saturday late morning. the place itself was very cute and a modern twist on a old lunch counter spot. unfortunately the ceiling began to drip on me and looking up revealed a removed drop panel. iorderedthe special--breakfast tacos. the breakfast tacos missed the mark; they were flavorless and the taco was advertised as including bacon and there was no meat inside. definitely no spices. the only good thing they did with it was heat up the tortillas. the salsa was marginal and i had to ask for another cup of it to make it taste like something other than just scrambled eggs. the potatoes were okay.

i was not impressed with the service. it was very slow even though the restaurant was not large. she never came back to ask us how we liked our food (causing my fiance to have to get up and ask the kitchen for more salsa), she gave us only one paper napkin (not good when eating tacos), and she never refilled my soda. ridiculous.

although i was very disappointed with this experience, i really want to like this place. the menu for lunch/dinner looks interesting and the drink specials are reasonable. i'm willing to try it one more time for dinner. i'm hoping the lunch/dinner service is much better; otherwise they will not receive my repeat business or referrals to others.
