family comfort food. lunadelsea has been my go-to for every family visit. this place serves the best seafood and offers such a huge menu that it can please everyone's taste! on my latest visit last week, my husband had a filet mignon with crab cake and i had an organic vegetarian pasta dish, both were absolutely delicious. we sat in a separate dining room for dinner it was connected to the restaurant but felt like its own little space with a beautiful baltimore themed wall mural, its own bar and beautiful decor. i would highly recommend lunadelsea for dinner for a special evening.

uh oh do these guys like tattoos?. perfect choice.after visiting here on three other trips into the city. from new years elegant bash my first time where i was first hesitant about the price. i went with my gut and tony at lunadelsea really pulled out all stops. perfect like i said elegant night with outstanding food. had the crab trio, hands down one of the best larger than a fist cake. perfectly cooked and barely any filler. snow crab legs and somethin else i cant remember. it was most likely the best on the plate cause i attribute the memory loss with my x fiance eating it all. second visit was a 10 person celebration party. id say great anniversary, pre wedding dinner, if you want you family or guests to be able to order absolutely anything on the menu,( if asked right with the quality of chef and amount of true hospitality iv been shown) you an get anything and it will all be absolutely amazing. my last visit was for lunch as im a local tattoo artist and happen to be downtown for the convention. a friend and i were greeted 5 feet before walking out front of the place. not as a cheasy sales pitch to get us in just a "hey how ya guys doin?" of course we were goin there already but walked right in and sat at the bar. got a pitcher of sangria. omg 2-3 people. yeah just go with a pitcher of sangria. on a hot day where you have to do some more walking. its soo refreshing and sweet. they make it a few different ways and all are great. i got the new york strip med rare. dude not even the fat survived. nice grill car but not burnt grill marks. wherever they get their meat its worth it. if you looking for a place to either sit outside and enjoy a salad and tea in the sun or have a drink and steak for lunch. theres a few things i can bet on with choosing lunadelsea. absolutely amazing food cooked to perfection, great conversations with the friendly staff and locals and all without having to deal with that drunk guy who just wants a friend or enjoy the company of the people from walmart. absolutely great place. top shelf, top quality, top on my list of places to walk to when downtown in the harbor or at the convention center.

they helped me host a baby shower for my sister in their private room and everything went well. the food was good and well-priced. the service was personable. this is a great venue to work with. look forward to coming back.

lunadelsea steak and seafood bistro. fabulous, not crowded, not noisy, great service, friendly, great food, omg, felt like a celebrity, food cooked to perfection. manager was awesome. worth every penny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

for over 10 years, lunadelsea has been entertaining tourists and locals alike with fresh seafood and sizzling steaks. and the location is prime: right on pratt st near camden yards, m&t bank stadium, the convention center, a good number of the major hotels in the downtown area, and so forth. if you're like us, you've noticed the place many times, but haven't been able to stop in, either because of traffic, time constraints, or the line out the door on a busy night (they do have a pretty nice outdoor seating area). but despite how fancy the establishment appears, the dress code is casual, so feel free to wear your oriole's orange or ravens camo. we happened to stop by after a phenomenal orioles win one night, and checked out one of the specalities of the house -- crab cakes! check out the review to see what we thought! first,

dinner @ lunadelsea. i came downtown to lunadelsea for a dinner meeting last week and loved the atmosphere. the staff were all on point and (being a baltimore native) the crab cake was the best i ever had. no asian chalky meat here. i could tell it was fresh blue maryland crab. the portions were bountiful and the steaks were grilled and seasoned perfectly. ive been a chef my entire career. i was the executive chef of liberatores for about seven of them. so my experience with the food at lunadelsea was quite surprizing. usually there are a million things i can say went wrong with restaurants but this was a pleasant surprise. i will return here to dine and reccomend them to all of my collegues. great food.. great atmosphere.. great people

mediocre. we went to lunadelsea for baltimore restaurant week and don't think that the food we got was worth the $30 we paid for the three courses. the service was decent but we got our entrees before we were finished eating half our salads. one of us got the ny strip and it wasn't cooked to order and was very dry. the baked potato was average. just a baked potato. the other got a chicken dish that was pretty good but the goat cheese on top was way out of place so it got pushed to the side. we were very pumped about dessert, but they only had one piece of chocolate cheesecake left. the piece we had was delicious though. we got a piece of the oreo cheesecake for the other dessert and it was very disappointing. it tasted like it was taken from a box, though the server said they make the desserts there. overall it was an ok experience. the location is convenient and the atmosphere quaint. the food is mediocre and the service about the same.

avoid this place!. my friend was visiting from chicago and had asked that we get seafood in baltimore. the hotel attendant suggessted lunadelsea. we walked over and fell in love with the quaint atmosphere and the food smelled delicious. we were fooled. after standing there (restaurant was empty) for 10 minutes we were finally greeted and asked to have a seat at the bar while they cleared a table for us. we waited 20 minutes and had to listen to the servers complain about having to clear our table. we were finally seated about 3 inches away from another party of 2. we looked past all of this because we were starving and excited for seafood. i ordered the blackened rockfish and my friend ordered the scallop/shrimp/mussel pasta. my fish was so dry that i only ate one bite. i ordered the saffron rice on the side and it was mushy and overcooked with absolutely no taste. my friend's scallops were rubbery. we both stopped eating, finished our bottle of wine and waited for the server to clear our table. he never once asked if there was something wrong or why we hadn't eaten our food. our bill was just over $130 and we ended up leaving and ordering a pizza. very disappointed. i would not recommend this food to anyone. its unfortunate, they have a great location, but horrible food.

i had dinner at lunadelsea bistro this past weekend 3/19/11 for my birthday. the food was over price and not worth it at all. i ordered the seafood trio 1 crab cake 2 shrimp and 2 scallops 32.00. when i bit into my fried scallop it was still frozen that right frozen. i sent my entire order back. (they took it off of my bill).

one of my friends ordered the the broil combo and said the crab imperial was awful. my other two friends ordered the shrimp linguini and they didn't like their food either.

i definately would not recommend this resturaunt.

great experience!. everytime i've been to lunadelsea, i find myself loving the experience. whether it's with family or friends for lunch, or during the night life, luna has always left me having a great time. great food, too.

great food, great atmosphere, great location.. lunadelsea is by far one of my favorite places to indulge when downtown! the food is always fresh and cooked just right. the staff is friendly and hardworking, and the setting is very soothing and intimate for one on one time, but also good when you just wanna have a light lunch or a few drinks at the bar with some friends. its also nice location. my family has done it a few times when we take a day trip around the harbor and camden yards, then end it off with dinner at lunadelsea since it is right there within walking distance. i would definately reccommned it.

more than just a place to eat.. lunadelsea offers an elegant setting to enjoy a finely cooked meal while experiencing a family environment. every time we go to lunadelsea we feel at home because of their personable staff who take the time to get to know and appreciate their customers. when we want to impress family or any company we have, we take them to luna. experience the total dining package, great food, great fun, great service...lunadelsea.

wonderful time, and the food is outstanding!. food was awesome after a long day at the game. sat back and had some cold beers with my friends, then went on to tour the rest of baltimore. great evening at lunadelsea!

the best service in town.. lunadelsea bistro is hands-down one of my favorite restaurants in baltimore! the food there is fantastic. i recommend anything from the seafood list, but there are so many other menu options as well! the servers are the friendliest i've encountered in my years in baltimore and the location is so convenient - right across from camden yards and so close to the inner harbor. also, at night, lunadelsea is a really fun bar to visit - great music, indoor and outdoor sections, awesome bartenders, and fun people to meet.
