heard a lot about this place. was on my list for so long. tried their baby back ribs , absolutely tender juicy and sinful. meat falling apart. the second thing i tried was their cookies and cream milkshake, the sour dough bread they served was absolutely delicious, melts in the mouth. sides were pretty awesome too. overall had a wonderful experience 😍

found a stack of staples in my food. waiter came over to us 3 times and kept saying “sorry hold on just one second” before actually taking our drink orders... once he came back for the 4th time he asked us what we wanted to drink and then asked if we were ready to order. looking at him confused.... he said “oh did we not tell you how to order?” pulls out a scan code and has us take out our phones to pull up the menu online... due to covid. making us wait another 25 minutes to order, because he took so long to come back.... then found staples in my food. asked for barbecue sauce 3 times for our pulled pork sandwiches and it never came...... so i don’t know how we were supposed to enjoy our barbecue with no barbecue..... also my boyfriend asked for a refill 3 times.... to different people. 15 minutes later someone came back with every single persons refill (6 people) except for my boyfriend who was the only one that asked for one. also asked to speak to the manager and they were never called over.... staples in my food. but i had to walk out without talking to anyone.... not a good comeback from covid19

average bbq--really nothing special about anything we tried. not bad at all, just nothing soecial.

st louis ribs had a decent tooth and were good sized and meaty. brisket was tender but a bit dry. hot links had a fine grind texture and good snap without a tough casing. well balanced spicing and not too "hot" for the masses.

unfortunately my wife forgit to order the pulled pork w/o sauce (all their meat comes sauced unless requested otherwise.). evidently the pulled pork comes with their mustard bbq sauce lightly applied. i am not a fan of (yellow) mustard based sauces so immediately i was off it.

they have 3 sauces on the table--mild, spicy and tennessee. for what ever reason their tennessee is their mustard sauce. i always thought mustard was a s carolina/georgia bbq thing but... mild and spicy were both a combination of sweet with a tough of apple vinegar. there were some small bits in the spicy (maybe onion?). not bad but nothing new for a flavor.

sides don't stand up to the 'que--basic bbq beans, dry corn bread, rubbery bland mac & cheese. coleslaw was only side we tried that got a second bite.

it's ok

lucille's smokehouse bbq is located next to amc @victoria garden mall. this restaurant is very famous and always crowded. the ambiance of the restaurant is not so good since it's crowded & it does not have the feel of fine dining restaurant.

since this is my first time, i ordered the full slab of baby back ribs (half slab is only $4 less), its signature dish. for 2 side dishes, i picked bake potato & corn bread.

trio sausages link: it's yummy especially the spicy sausage.

the baby back ribs is good but overcooked so it was not juicy & tender. good but far for the best ribs. they have 3 different types of bbq sauces. again good but not outstanding.

fully loaded bake potato is very good, corn bread is bad and dry. i also tried my friend's bbq beans, it was too sweet.

overall it is a good restaurant but it does not make me want to come back since it is a long wait. there are restaurants that are equally good or better than lucille's.

noisy yuppie land. noisy place to eat. biscuits were the driest, doughiest that i ever ate. you have to love every thing over spiced to eat there. people yelling "hey joe, over here!" , "hi! every body!", all yuppies wanting to be seen. not caring that they are screaming while you are trying to eat.

to our server jj: thank you for your great service and humor. you helped turn what had started as a hugely disappointing night into a great time.

the food is always good, 'nuff said.

posted by admin on aug 16, 2013 in american , reviews | 0 comments   finding amazing bbq restaurants is always a great discovery.  after growing up in the midwest and spending many years serving barbecued ribs, i am pretty picky about them. we received a media preview at lucille’s smokehouse bbq and were truly pleased with the food and dining experience.  to make the most of your own visit to lucille’s, we have some great dining tips! lucille’s has amazing appetizers and one thing is for certain – there is more than bbq at lucille’s.  the nachos are robust with flavor and the toppings are plentiful. if you love a great dip, we found the spinach and cheese dip highly addicting offering the perfect blend of ingredients for a balanced taste that is not too overpowering in either direction. and of course, a visit to bbq restaurants is not complete without a stack of onion frills! lucille’s has a long history and has been serving customers since 1935.  they know what their guests enjoy and

serious bbq in the inland empire. always packed, long waits to get in for a table most nights, loud as heck, and consistently delicious food, especially when you factor in the selection of sauces available at the table.

unlike many restaurants, they don't offer the same menu in the bar, so don't try for the shortcut (not that you'd have much luck, the bar is often packed too). if you do choose the bar, i say the sliders are the way to go.

if you are smart enough to get a table and enjoy the full menu, stick to the bbq and you'll have lots of great choices. i personally enjoyed the baby back ribs, the tri-tip and the bbq chicken, but usually had to trade a bit of it with whomever i was with because there's too much good food to ignore.

if you're just there on a date or with a friend, i recommend you both opt for the "two meat combo platter" so you can have a nice selection between you. if it's a bigger group that hasn't been there before, consider the "family feast". you don't save much money with the feast, but it makes ordering easier so you can focus on the good times.
