luce cucina italiano

poor. my daughter and i went out for a father daughter dinner, and decided we would try luce cucina. i ordered the chicken alfrado, the sauce had no flavor what so ever, and was very runny, and the chicken was dry, when i said something to my server she said "a lot of people say that, but i will let the manager know." i went back a few weeks later and decided i would try it again, the food was the same, nothing changed. still very bland. however this time i was able to expierence the manager yelling at his servers like they were his children. that was no not professional at all. the female server acted as though she was used to being yelled at by them. the owners of this place should be ashamed of themselvesm, and get they butt off their shoulders, and fix the problems your customers complain about. this place could be an awesome place, if they cared. i wouldnt waste my time going there. you can get the same food from a chef boyardee can.

quick update. still have the same old cash register! takes too long to decipher the bill. that being said....darn good food! best calzone ever! great pizza! i drive ten miles from west columbia to meet my in-laws here for lunch. well worth the drive. only other thing you might want to bring with you is crackers to eat with your salad. they run out a lot. just say'in.

great pizza. my in-laws talked us into going here last night. i have been searching for a good pizza in the lexington/columbia area for years. well, finally found the place, luce cucina italiano. the restaurant is not fancy, but decorated in a very low key kind of way. the wait staff is very friendly. we ordered our 16 inch pizza with three different items and asked that each item be split into thirds. i like mushrooms, wife likes onions and oldest daughter likes pepperoni. the waitress said no problem and the pizza came out perfect.

the hand tossed pizza had the right amount of sauce, cheese, onions and pepperoni. (loved the onion slices) outside crust was just right, not too hard and not too soft. great flavor. we will be back!

only minus to the evening was trying to pay the bill. there were four folks in front of me when we went to check out. it took 15 minutes to process these four tickets. when it was my turn, it took another 10 minutes for the cashier to try and enter the info into the 1980 style ncr register. she could not come up with the correct total. at one point she started to dress down our waitress right in front of me on how not to write up a order ticket. sad. a $499 point of sale computer could solve this issue.

great food, atmosphere needs work. the food at this place is outstanding. we've been 4-5 times and have never been disappointed. not sure, but i believe the pasta may be homemade/fresh - certainly tastes nothing like what you get at the chain italian restaurants. thats the good - the not so good is the atmosphere. like another review mentioned, the parking lot makes you question if they're even open, and the interior is dark and kind of depressing. its not terrible, but the atmosphere doesn't match the quality of the food. robert irvine could turn this puppy around in 12 hrs. hope the place lasts - lexington needs it.

hot. the place has great food, but the resteraunt is always hot inside. i hope it stays open, but i have doubts, as the owners aren't too willing to please the customer.

hope it last's. i'd give luce 5 stars for take out. 2-3 stars for dining in. the food is really good italian food. very fair prices as well!! the problem is that the place always looks closed. they will be closed down for good, like all before them in that location, if they dont start to look alive! sunday my family & i had to actually open the door to see if they were open as the place looked so dark & there were no cars in the lot. all of the lights in the dining room were off & the temperature was quite hot inside. we had to ask the waitress to turn the lights on please. this was after we all made comments about the place looking closed & "why werent the lights on??" it's really a shame... i hope this place last's because it really is good food but i am not too confident it will... food we all tried & loved - calzones (cheese & ham); fettucini alfredo - baked ziti - shrimp alfredo - eggplant parm. cheesey garlic knots mmmmmmmmmm

to die for!. me, my husband and our son went there for dinner on sunday and it was the best! our waitress, ashley, was very nice and attentive! i had the chicken alfreado, which i ordered today (monday) because it was so good, and my huband had the philly and could not stop talking about how amazing it was! hes picky and finally found a philly worth getting! thanks so much and we will be back.

had the lunch baked ziti. wife had the meat lasagna and a salad. portions were huge. food was tasty but on the heavy side. salad was large but plain with a passable italian dressing. restaurant has no license to serve alcohol. better italian is available elsewhere.

i really enjoyed their food and they give you plenty for what you pay. the service can improve but is not to bad as they are very nice wait staff.

yummy! i love their pizza, especially the french one! the pasta is tasty too! but my fav is the teramisu is the best i've ever had!! wonderful experience for the entire family! :)

don't go!. they do give you a large portion, but the food was not good. the calimari was breaded like onion rings, however if you took the breading off it wasn't terrible. i had the chicken spinaci and it was under cooked and very salty. i won't be going back!!!

great italian fare with price and service to match. i have been visiting luce's for a while now and have never had a bad experience. one time i had to wait a while for a take out order, but the staff was courteous and i was compensated for the wait. other than that one time, everything has always been great in both service and quality. every dish i have had has been great tasting and you can't beat the price! their new cheesy garlic knots are marvelous, and i recommend the brooklyn bridge pizza (i add chicken and banana peppers, but it is great as listed on the menu as well).

so we were looking for a new place to have lunch on a sunday afternoon and thought we would give luce cucina a try. i had chicken alfrado and have to say was very disappointed. the alfrado sauce had no flavor and the chicken was so dry it was had to chew. my mother had the stake sub that was more like ground up mess on a soggy bun with cheese, an not even good cheeses. it was supposed to be sliced stake on a grilled bun with melted cheese. the sauce had no zip and the was not a ounce of garlic in the whole place. we will not be going back nor will tell anyone else to go there

love this place!!!!!!!!!. i love this restaurant. every dish i have tried is absolutely wonderful!!!! the owners and staff are so polite and friendly. the prices are affordable.

terrible. i am still amazed at the way my daughter and i were just treated at luce cucina at lunch today. we both ordered their lunch specials which were cheese ravioli and spinach ravioli which came with garlic bread for $5.99. we decided to add a side salad to each order for an additional $2.99. mind you at dinner it includes a salad for $8.99. with that said, our meals arrived on plates covered with sauce and cheese...when we dug into them for the raviolis we found 3 each. you get more in a chef boyardee can...this was ridiculous. when i mentioned it to the waitress she did not care but rather laughed about it...like she had heard it before. she said well you did get the lunch portion. i have eaten at this restaurant before for lunch and there were at lease 6 raviolis on the plate. she told me she mentioned to the manager how upset we were and he didn't even come out. she asked if we wanted to speak with him and i refused as obviously he didn't care anyways. so sad. love this restaurant when it first opened. will no return again. left there paying $19.82 and was extremely hungry. the salads were terrible as well...you get better italian dressing out of a bottle. now i know why the place is empty whever we drive by. don't give it very long at all.

re mr monti. im the owner of luce cucina , dear mr monti ,it was friday night ,and there was table that haveing the dvd on , when you asked me to ask that table to turn down their dvd , we offerd you another table in the cornal of the resturant away from every one so you can enjoy your dinner avoiding any future loud from this table ,because doesnt matter what we say to them they want to enjoy thier meal and the company ,so even they turn the dvd down they still will be loud by laughing and talking ,so we offerd you another table away from the loudnees,
we really feel sad that you didnt enjoy your dinner with us ,and we apologize for that ,we hope that you give another chance to make you happy ,we work hard to make our coustmer happy , i hope you accepte our apology ,we hope to see you soon .
