foodies dream! one of my top 5 restaurants ever! cod, peanut butter desert and the fried pickles were as good as any 5 star i have ever visited!

...sometimes yummy, occasionally attention-getting, and ordinarily unexciting.

outstanding food. difficult to find. once your gps gets you to the plaza del opulence in buckhead, just abandon technology and start asking questions. it's nested inside a luxury condo complex/piazza. for the ambience and quality of the food, it was reasonably priced ($50 dinner, drinks, appetizer, dessert)

i find the menu to be wallet friendly if you're looking to get a few interesting bites on a budget. they do offer very small bites, regular appetizers then salad course, cheese and chacuterie courses and full on entrees (those are pricier at $18 and up)...very attentive service. i'll return to try some more items on the menu.

our food was underwhelming, but the atmosphere was good. for the price i was expecting a lot more. i got the crispy brussel sprouts and the pork chops. the sprouts were nothing special and no different than what i make at home. the pork chop was luke warm and very salty. won't be making a return trip.

chris hall is alive and doing very well. i have been a big fan of his since we first met many years ago. not because of his food but of his personality, and humbleness. he has truly found his home at local three in buckhead on northside drive. they have taken over the building which housed joel's. we went on a tuesday night because we were also going to the fox to see wicked. i surprised my wife with both tickets and dinner at local three. we started out with roasted brussels sprouts that were finished in duck butter, quite tasty indeed. the app my wife choose was the oven roasted mushrooms with cream polenta and truffle jus, oh my were they delicious and the polenta creamy with just the right amount of truffle. i had the crispy fried cornmeal crusted oysters. great start right there then chef hall put them over a bed of logan turnpike grits with arugula, it was awesome! for an entree my wife can't pass up chicken livers so she had the pan fried chicken livers with bacon, gala apples, swiss chard and sherry jus. the chicken liver elevated to new heights. never would one expect the mere liver to reign this gloriously but it did, @ chef chris hall they rocked. i had the pan seared diver scallops with squash, spinach and apple salad "lightly" en robed with maple bacon dressing. perfectly seared diver scallops are very tricky to cook because they go from under done to burnt in 1..65987 seconds. these were perfect. a few other items we considered were the notorious p.i.g a charcuterie sampler of pig (sausage, goat sausage, finocchiona (a type of tuscan salami with fennel seed). the new fall menu just debuted and it is delightful to read and better to taste. ladies and gentlemen please do your selves a big favor make reservations now because when talking to chef chris hall they are filling up fast for the holidays. local three is an easy 20 min ride to the fox, so if going to the fox stay away from the long lines and dine at local three.
we are proud to award local three and chef chris hall and his staff a 4.95 out of 5 wine glass salute. well done chef.

local three is one of my new favorites in atlanta. cal and i had a delicious celebratory dinner there a couple of months ago. since then i've heard great things about their brunch from others and i am excited to go back again for lunch, brunch or dinner as the menu has changed dramatically since our visit. i'd also love to sit on the patio when it cools down again, a really nice atmosphere out there. inside is great too, with cute photos of pigs and elivs memorabilia throughout. our server was on point, as were the busboys who tended to our water needs nonstop. highlights of dinner included the lamb sandwich, the razor clams and the dessert. if you haven't been here, go soon. popcorn tossed with truffle oil. razor clams - evening special. menu - the current on is quite different. view it here . pork with brussels sprouts and onions. lobster pasta. key lime pie taste and boston creme pie. sign out front. you could easily miss this place if you aren't familiar with the are

bad day? go to local three. talk about bad days! my friend lost his job yesterday and i lost my biggest client. :( both of us, frustrated and in a bad mood, decided to hit the hottest restaurant in atlanta in an attempt to brighten an otherwise abysmal monday. boy are we glad that we did! everything was outstanding!

first off, i almost canceled my reservation due to the fact that we were stuck with two miniature dachsunds. my friend's house is on the market and there was a showing. when i called to cancel "audria" the hostess let us know they are dog friendly!!!

with two hounds in tow we sat on the beautiful patio at local three. banks, our waitress, started us off with green fried tomatoes and seared diver scallops. both were excellent.

our entrees included spicy shrimp spaghetti, and grilled hangar steak. both were excellent. the spicy shrimp spaghetti was very spicy but with not so much heat. it was truly a taste explosion and was the winner of the two entrees.

dessert includedt he boston cream pie and the blueberry pie a la mode. both great but the blueberry pie won that round.

total cost ended up at right around $100 plus tip.

having a bad day? turn that frown upside down by going to local three. great food, great people, dog friendly, and the kitchen....you've just got to see it. wow!!!

local three is not the easiest place to find or park at, but thankfully the section of road this eatery is found on was delightfully free of traffic the day i managed to get there. yes, it's very pretty. nearby is a small sandwich shop punfully named local 1.5. as in many self consciously good looking places, the staff dress down a little, in a nice shirt, often an apron, and jeans. abstract pigs from muss and turners adorn the walls, and pictures of jeff bridges in his role as the dude in big lebowski are all over the place. there is a lot of light, and many well lit places to eat. there is a long bar, and probably plenty of great drinks here. i was just here for something i can eat. i talked them out of the corn on this dish, but that's it. great roasted vegetables, thin sliced. total explosion of flavor. this is a place that borders on violating the principle of separation, which is to keep ingredients of different kinds well enough separated that someone with food issues can fix th
