food was delicious. had the cajun chicken salad. cafe is very peaceful, nice decor and pricing was reasonable. however no one came to clear our plates 30 mins after our plates were left lying on our table. so i had to go return the plates myself as we didn’t want to stare at empty plates any longer. service could be better.

average cafe in parnell.

big spacious cafe, good ambience, decent food.
disappointed how dry and bland the duck was, felt like the duck meat was kept frozen. pancakes were also pretty dry, though overall was not too bad.
salad was pretty good, a lot of beef for it’s price, nicely seasoned.

i ordered the “prawn ceviche” at $16.50. when it arrived it was 3 cooked prawns (like you get from the freezer section of the supermarket) on the side of a glass, with lettuce in the glass and a couple of garnishings. i wasn’t happy paying $16.50 for essentially 3 prawns so i took it to the counter and told them that i ordered ceviche, and that this wasn’t it. they told me it was ceviche, but i was unhappy with it so i apologised and said i’d get something else instead. the rest of the table was already eating so i just got a cabinet frittata.
i would have been happy if that’s where this ended but when we paid the bill, instead of removing the ceviche and charging me for the frittata ($8.50) they left the $16.50 ceviche on the bill.
overall the food was good, everyone else enjoyed their meal just very disappointed by their conduct and left feeling embarrassed by the whole situation. i definitely won’t be returning.

definitely some creativity has been put into the menu. not your usual brunch menu. their duck pancake was delicious and unique. the prawn ceviche was good with a good variety of salad and the garlic bread was nice and crispy. a great place for a good and filling savory lunch.

the matcha latte and beetroot latte were very nice too, and well portioned.

it’s my first visit. the staffs are very accommodating and are happy to swap the bacon with a poached egg for my creamy mushroom when asked. beautiful environment and convenient location. will definitely return.

nice little quiet place tucked downhill in parnell. portion size are huge. the chicken burger isn’t a burger because you can’t eat it like one. however price wise not complaining.

flat white tastes like milk with water and no coffee flavour at all! i wonder how this place get rated over 4?

went in for lunch on a sunday afternoon with my family. pleasant experience. we ordered the creamy mushrooms and the tapioca soy chicken burger, along with a toastie for our toddler.

both the mains were a good portion size. the creamy mushrooms were a little under seasoned though.

the customer service was good; they were happy to make minor changes to our order, wait staff was polite and also provided complementary wafers to our toddler. ambiance of the restaurant was good, plenty of seating, clean and simple.

the only issues we had was the fact the the extra aioli that we ordered along with the burger costed $2.50 and the simple cheese and tomato toastie in a plain white bread was a staggering $7.50.

an enjoyable experience all in all.

best way to have started our weekend! the food was delicious! oh how i wish i could eat these perfectly poached eggs every morning. the smashed avocado on sourdough was worth not being able to afford a house in auckland. i would highly recommend this place. the service was exceptional, the staff were all professional and friendly. the only suggestion would be to serve coffees hotter, maybe we should've made a special request to have it hotter. other than that, definitely a great place and would easily go again!

had brunch here with my friend for a catch up. cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, good food (eggs bene), ☺️ also ordered a matcha latte but it wasn't as flavourful as i would like. would still come back and try other options!

update: i feel like i've had a better experience to give them one more star :) visited again, this time with my family, ordered heaps and liked every single thing. the team at little dream was very accommodating despite us coming at a late lunch. the highlight for me was the squid ink risotto and soft shell crab. worth mentioning is their beer batter fries which is probably one the best side fries you can get at a cafe. also, thanks for making it a special day for my sister!

a great find on a back street in industrial surroundings. interesting varied menu and well thought out and presented food. their version of avo on toast was so much more than that! my burger was compromised by not being of a similar temperature to the excellent freshly-cooked chips. i should have requested a re-heat but my partner and her elderly aunt were very pleased with their food and i did not wish to spoil their happiness with a “moan”!

customer service was excellent, couldn’t ask for more! food looked and tasted great. would definitely come back.

the food here was really tasty. however, im not sure what happened my coffee but the soy milk was curddled really badly. i think they oversteamed it. i still would retirn however as its an easy fix. cute cafe with little nooks
