would be 5 star but one star off for lack of parking.  i was advised not to go on a weekend (too crowded), so partner and i went today - a stunning friday here in auck.  a little overwhelming on entry - 3 different eateries in one big 'hangar' - but a very cool young guy came up to us to explain the place.  sit anywhere, andorderfrom any of the 3.  chose the 'little creatures' menu and quickly chose the triple cooked fries and garlic chillie prawn pizza to share.  great food, chips were crispy and hot - the aoli smoky and delish.  pizza was simple, and just the right amount of heat.  washed it down with a gorgeous oaky trinity hill chardonnay and i was a happy camper!  wait staff attentive, and food arrived quickly.  lovely setting and cool ambience with lots of choice of seating areas.  will be back to try the kittyhawk eatery next time.

visited some time ago for the first time. service was horrible. wait ages to for someone to get the menu, and then to get ourorderin. worst part was one of the waiters (or a manager? ) snapped at me out of nowhere for apparently "rolling my eyes" and called me rude, when i wasn't??? never coming back again

my son and his friend went there for dinner, and was told by waitress he had to pay first or they hold his card before he canorder.
how humiliating is that 😡 he came home so upset . is it because they were pacific islanders ???

we were a big table and were well looked after by trent at little creatures. he was attentive to ourorder(memorized it all) made us laugh and had a smile on his face. the atmosphere was amazing with the live band playing (in light of oktoberfest) food was great. it’s been a few months since we went but because of our experience we would definitely go back again.

would not recommend for group settings. food is staggered, which they point out on the menu, but unfortunately that’s not quite up to par- one of our meals and one side came out half an hour after the rest of the table’s meals. by that point the other three people on the table had finished eating, and when we asked to cancel the remaining meal prior to it coming out, a waitress argued that it was on the way out and that they wouldn’t cancel the order.

the servers also leave a lot to be desired; three different waitresses named the incorrect market fish, none of which told our table the price or even mentioned the specials when they came to take drink orders. wait staff have to be flagged down, even when there were five of them circling the small and not-particularly-busy outdoor area.

the food was fine, but our experience with the huge delays with our plates mean that we likely won’t be returning toorderanything other than drinks in future. it’s a shame, considering a little more training of staff and better timing in the kitchen could have made all the difference.

came here for lunch on a sunday around midday. very busy but we managed to score the end of a long table. table service was efficient and friendly given how busy it was. we ordered a few beers and the mac and cheese, poutine and brewers board to share between 3; waiter informed us we couldorderextra bread for the platter free of charge which was welcome. food was alright for what it was, cheese curd on the poutine wasn’t really melted at all but it was fine. only complaint would be the excessive bass being pumped out.. my insides wanted to rattle, great for a friday night but not so much a seedy sunday morning!

i drove 45 mins to hobsonville after finding out there is a little creatures in auckland. after having such amazing service in the one in fremantle i was prepared and hoping to be amazed again. but i was totally wrong.

no one greeted us at the door. not even a single acknowledgement, when we are clearly the only few people that has not been seated. after struggling to find seats for 15 - 20 mins, we finally found the seats ourselves because of someone left.

at that point, we still have no acknowledgement from any of the staff and no one came to clear the table. finally after another 5mins, a girl came to take the onlyorderthat we had.

after 1/2 hour, nothing came. later found out that ourorderwas never actually sent to the kitchen. so we cancelled theorderand left.

this was a complete disaster from the beginning to the end. whoever is managing the place really need to train their staff properly and actually managing the place. we won't be coming back here any time soon.

reached there on a sunday afternoon with family. good environment. place was so crowded that it took sometime to get a table for 6 of us. ordered beer tasting palates, pizza, fries, burgers. brewery is at the back which is interesting to see and have more joy in sipping good beer. it didnot take long fororderto arrive though it was fully packed. items were  of good portions and tasty. good place for a group lunch/dinner out. will go in future more for sure.

great setup, love the rustic look and the offerings of beers.
but the place leaves you confused about where toorderor what toorderwhen comes to food. it was fairly occupied with lunch time casual crowd. still felt that the serving staff were all over the place and too many, kind of you’re surrounded by them. felt a bit uneasy that you’re been watched continually and too much of “can i get you something “. we were asked at least 5 times in 25 minutes by 4 different staff about the food and top of drinks. i think some people may like this attention, i didn’t.
overall happy with the food and beers. a bit pricy though for west auckland . $10.50 for a 420ml standard tap beer
