little buddha cafe

nothing we ordered was good - momos (the soup was tasteless); mushroom platter (cold and what was the whole concept); pasta (whatever happened to al dente). not worth the hype at all. had dinner at freedom cafe, the night before and it was amazing

the ambiance is ok there is nothing extraordinary about it. just that it has river view. it is easy to locate and is in the market. there is long waiting especially on weekends. i ordered paneer sizzler and i was really disappointed with the dish. the vegetables were raw not at all cooked. the taste was ok. when i gave this review to the person who was sitting at billing desk, he told me that they prepare western food and asked me whether i have had sizzler before. this is not something you should do with guest. there could be some politeness here. the behaviour of staff was not that great.

worst ever experience in my whole life, sharing few points just for saving the time & money of other fellow consumers:
- long waiting time
- after waiting for so long they allowed us in but still there was no table ready.. again waited, looked for free table and requested waiters for any free space. after again waiting for 15 mins (it's really embarassing to wait next to the table/other people who were eating... shared my table with other people.
- they have given us entirely updated menu (with hiked prices), it was completely different from the one appearing in zomato.
- again waited for 30 mins for food
- waiters/service people were using unethical or bad language in front of us (families were sitting in side the restaurant) - no professional behaviour.
- i ordered their speciality still food was really worst - we have to left it after eating small portions
i have shared my experience with the person sitting on the counter (mahanand) still no luck.

i love everything about this little cosy cafe by the river ganga. from food to ambuiance, amazing crowd and definitely the vibes. recently during my trip to rishikesh i encountered this wholesome cafe. with beautiful wooden interior and low dim lights makes it extraordinary and relaxing. as per food, i adore their wide range of varieties from middle eastern to nepali, indian, chinese, italian and everything was authentic. something that i loved more about this place was their choice of condiments present at your table. chilli sauce, tamato sauce salt pepper, oregano, chilli flakes and balsamic vinegar. i mean whaaaaa? that was unbelievable. moving on to what we've ordered.

1) our special pizza, loaded with mushrooms, baby corn, olive, spinach and cheese. it was delightful.

2)besciamella al funghi pasta. super creamy and loaded with cheese. unbelievably satisfying.

3) chilli potato. nothing too fancy but still love it

4) mix veg thukpa, in a cold chilly evening near river side, this hot bowl of thupka was a pure bless.

5) mix veg momos, nothing extraordinary but love that sauce.

6) chocolate, strawberries, mango, oreo (individual shakes with ice cream) and cold coffee.

if you don't smoke, do not go to this place.
they allow smoking at dinning place.

must say it has a great view but they take like ages to serve your order. and they even forget that if you've ordered something. they need to be reminded again and again to get your order served. but yes once you get that it was worth waiting.

this is a busy spot with a good atmosphere. wide and good menu with most dishes good to excellent. a place you can definitely go with confidence of a good evening/lunch. reliable.
but one can only enjoy the café either late evening or in monsoons or winters if you are going in summer afternoon it may make you irritated as this place is near the river bank and observes immense suns heat.
coming to food everything was upto mark but due to warm weather we really enjoyed the crushed lemon ice and due to which i would rate it 4 or else i have only visited this place for its name..
just a suggestion to the café owners, guys please install desert cooler it will really help..

it took them 1 hour and 10 minutes to make my order. and when i told them that i don't need it and i had to leave and i will share my review the waiter was so rude he said yeah just leave and many people give us reviews your single review does not matter. they maybe serving some good food and ambience is also good, but me and my friends were sitting there for more an hour and we have ordered just a thing, many people came after us and ate there food and left and we were just waiting and thats it. we asked the waiter what is the status and he was very casually saying just 2 mins rest is just not so good experience.

ambience is excellent. but quality of food is pathetic. ordered grilled vegetable, potion size was extraordinary large but vegetables were not fresh, not grilled well, rice served was cold. quality of food killed the overall experience and stomach was upset after having lunch at this place.

the quality of food was not up to the mark. dumplings were soggy and the veggies were not cut properly. burger tasted like tomatoes, pan cake was also soggy, the quantity of nutella was meagre, we had to ask the cafe to revamp it.
ambience was fine but on the other hand service was slow.

this cafe has all together a different vibe. at night or evening, it feels so amazing and good to be here and chill. its in the lanes of laxman jhula and you have to take stairs to reach the cafe. from outside it looks some house but once you enter the cafe, you feel the vibe of ganga river view. the food is also amazing! we ordered pizza and noodles. we visited this cafe almost at closing time, so less options were available but pizza and noodles were really good in taste. mojito and limbu pani good.🧋 you should visit this place at-least once if you are in rishikesh.

quality food with very good ambience.try to visit in evening. view of ganga is very mesmerizing. cost might seem on higher side but quantity is totally worth it.

you must visit this place after sunset. the ambience gives you a different vibe. the service is little slow and you have to wait 15-20 mins to get a table

hi.. we went to cafe during evening/night the view was awesome... ambiance is happening and we ordered tomato soup, penne arabita pasta, pizza and biryani.. each and everything was complete in itself and very much tasty.. we love it...biryani and soup was fab.. pizza and pasta was good .. highly recommend to anyone coming to rishikesh...
