li beirut - conrad abu dhabi etihad towers

i stumbled across this fineplacewhile doing some shopping at etihad towers and decided to walk in (luckily with no reservations) and have dinner with a friend. this restaurant offers spacious, luxurious interior seating areas and outdoor seating areas that offers beautiful views of the capital.

when it came to staff attendance, advice, attitude, i have no complains. they were professionals. as for as the food is concerned, the quality, the taste and the portions, again, flawless.

this is a luxury fine dining venue suitable (after being there for a private dining experience) for a corporate function, or simply, for you to enjoy with a loved one, an intimate/ romantic dining experience that will be memorable. i would strongly advice reservations to be made, especially for a large group or for some specific arrangements to be made if you're having a special occasion with a special someone.

*ladies: do take your men to thisplace$$$.

on two occasions, li beirut impressed me to the highest extents. the luxury, the atmosphere and the food offered will transform any night of the week from ordinary, to magical.

update: maybe it was just an off day, but my favorite lebanese restaurant was sub par. the meat was ok and the service was ok. not the wow experience i had on my previous 3 visits. hope it was just a one off bad day.
why thisplaceisn't rated higher is a real surprise to me. the service was very attentive, polite, helpful and welcoming.
the food was off the charts. all our starters were good and they were a real treat for our friends from out of town as they really got to sample a few arabic dishes.
the traditional arabic main courses were like i have never had before. the most succulent kebabs and another dish of thinly sliced grilled beef. my favorite was the grilled lamb cubes.
we also had the grilled sea bass from the chef's special selection. this was lovely as well but had a very european flare to it and was not very arabic.
the ambience was lovely with a nice view over the pool and beach.
lovely evening will be back soon.

i visited li beirut during ramadan and tried their iftar set menu. the setup and decoration is very nice but i think that it doesn't go well with the lebanese style, even the cutleries. the food was average nothing special but very generous in terms of varieties and quantities. i think theplacelacks the lebanese cooking touch in terms of taste and spices. the manager was very friendly and understanding when we complained about the turkish coffee, he instantaneously fixed it and served us sweets on the house.

i visited thisplacetwice and had very different experience every time. in the first visit the food was really great. we ordered a 3 course meal (pan seared scallop, dolma, honey fudge) all were really good. the waiter serving us made a really stupid personal comment. but other than him, the food and outdoor seating was good. after few days i invited another friend and we ordered the same exact dishes. all of the dishes including the dessert arrived at the same time, which we didn't ask for. it was shocking. moreover, the food this time was cold and not even cooked nicely. the scallop was cold, overcooked, and oily. for the price you are paying and what are you expecting, sure it is very disappointing. i didn't go again of course because it is all about your luck! another thing, theplaceis quite decent but can be decorated much better for a fine dining place. 

في لبيروت، مره تصيب ومره تخيب. لا يوجد إستمرارية بجودة الأكل. جربنا الاسكالوب، الدولما، وحلوى العسل. كانت ممتازة في المره الأولى وسيئه جدا في المره الثانيه. عدى ذلك تم تقديم الأكل كله مع السويت مره واحده بدون مراعاة لاتيكيت التقديم. أيضا الموظف اللي . خدمنا في المرتين كان غير مهذب أو لطيف. لا يستحق الزياره خصوصا أن السعر غير متوافق. أيضا الديكور كان ممكن يكون أرقى، المفارش البيضا ليست للفاين دايننج

niceplaceto have arabic food, but i was expecting more!! food was good but not wow, decoration, environment and food presentation needs more improvement. not sure if i will go again.

if u r in uae and u are carving for best arabic cuisine capital can offer then this is the place. divine is the word u describe to the food which u get. specialplacefor the special occasion. fine dining at it's best.

everything u order and comes on table is class apart. very organised. it ticks all the right boxes and the food is exquisite n fresh. the chocolate globe is the best desert i ever tasted.

i went there so many times .. lovelyplace.. lovely food and service .. good job!
i should try the iftar whenever is possible .. i am sure its so delicious

nice place. very good food but i expected more in terms of the taste. but generally speaking about food, it was very good. its recommended for couples as theplaceis lovely.

if you are looking for lebanese food i highly recommend libeirut restaurant in etihad jumeirah towers they served the food quickly and hot theplaceis quite and facing the sea area there are indoor and outdoor tables i liked everything there .

what can i say, everything about thisplaceis just perfect. the ambience, the staff, and not to forget the food which looks good and tastes good. i'm sure there are places which mite taste better but as a whole package thisplaceis awesome. it does come with an expensive bill therefore not recommended for regular visits but for sure on special occasions. the grill items were perfectly done plus don't leave theplacebefore trying the desserts, especially 'um ali'..... just yummy. so wait for a good occasion save some money and try it out, i'm sure you won't be disappointed....
