lexington grill - waldorf astoria ras al khaimah

this restaurant was an unexpected delight, my only wish is that it would come to dubai!  it is definitely in my top two of steaks i've ever had, and i'm dying to find an excuse to go back! 

my oh and i were very hungry when we entered this quiet restaurant hidden in the corner of the waldorf.  we therefore ordered quite a lot of food, thankfully all of it was amazing.  we started with the burrata which was creamy without being too rich. for the mains we went a bit over the top, and ordered the chateaubriand, and the slow cooked pork ribs.  thesteakwas a perfect medium rare and wonderfully tender.  the ribs were unbelievably good, with the meat falling off the bone and the sauce incredibly tasty and delicious.  for sides we had a beautifully creamy mac n cheese, as well as the creamed spinach and fries.  the portions were generous and everything was served hot, and tasted fresh.  we washed this down with a reasonably price bottle of red.

unsurprisingly we did not have room for dessert, and waddled off back to our hotel planning our next visit! 

the only element the lexington falls down on is atmosphere, i think this place would do so well if it was in dubai as the quality of food and service sit far above what's on offer at the moment.  hopefully this will make an appearance in dubai soon, otherwise it's definitely recommended if you are looking for an amazing meal in rak!

must say that one of the best in uae. i stayed at anantara before this and was extremely disappointed but waldorf astoria has restored my faith in the resorts here. the rooms and amenities are top notch, service and staff are friendly and fast, the food is unbeatable and the view is just mind blowing. all the restaurants are good but we didn’t get a chance to try the japanese cuisine however i would like to give a 11 on 10 to lenxington grill. the waldorf salad and rib eye usdsteakis out of the world. they also serve many types of wine of which i had heard the portugal astonia is good so i tried it and it just over exceeded my expectations like everything else. azure, the italian restaurant is also one of my favorites. the veal risotto and chicken caesar salad was scrumptious and tasty. the portions are perfect and the food is just worth every cent.

we stayed at the waldorf for a couple of nights for a friends 30th birthday and decided on asteakdinner to celebrate.

disappointed - the service was so slow and inattentive. we must have waited 30-40 min before someone took our order for food (after we asked), our glasses were empty for most of the meal as no one asked if we wanted a refill or another drink. the food was average - not what we expected at asteakand grill restaurant. not sure if it was just an off day but left expecting better.

one of the finest properties in ras al khaima, waldorf astoria, has one of the finest steakhouses in the uae. lexington grill is a fantastic option for allsteak& seafood lovers out there. refined and modern interiors provides a great fine dining experience with high quality service.

i recommend you start of with;
the seared foie gras, which is perfectly contrasted and complimented with the brioche. the quality and flavors are spot on. highly recommended.
we also got thesteaktartare. slightly disappointed with this dish maybe because i had high expectations and lacked that punch of flavor in my mouth. average.

we were most excited about our mains;
the surf & turf comes with the most prime and juicy tenderloin & 1/2 a maine lobster. thesteakwas cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. combined with a red wine bordelaise sauce, it was everysteaklovers paradise. the lobster too was great but thesteakwas the star.
the wagyu beef tenderloin was the best dish of the night. again, perfectly cooked and seasoned. melts in your mouth with a black peppercorn sauce on the side.
the barley risotto was ordered as a vegetarian choice and also did not disappoint. a great vegetarian option with great flavor.

enough room for dessert of course;
the chocolate soufflé was the perfect way to end the meal. gooey and molten on the inside is what we were looking for and it’s what we got.

i’ll be back for more.

still i would say the beststeakhouse in uae.
everything was on perfect side. we had dinner last night. i ordered my favorite burrata which was really delicious. and the tenderloin medium well perfectly cooked.
i would be very thankful to fahad who looked after us very well. he was really very friendly and knowledgeable.
thanks to chef for visiting us and offering beautifully plated dessert.

one of the best steakhouses i've ever visited. we dined here on christmas eve and the service was outstanding, all staff were attentive and knowledgeable, we had a strip-loin and a rib-eyesteakaccompanied by creamed spinach, mushrooms and fries - all were delicious, 10/10! the puddings were superb and our evening ending perfectly with an after-eight mint cocktail which was divine! looking forward to returning next year, the bill plus tip totaled 850 aed ...and it was worth every dirham!

i had a three-course dinner at lexington grill, while staying at the hotel. the food from appetizer to main to dessert was cooked perfectly. the appetizer itself was a huge portion, and thesteakfor my main was beautifully cooked, exactly medium rare. dessert was a bit rich for my palettes. chef was great and came out and greeted us, which definitely put the extra icing on the cake.

well well well... this top-endsteakjoint serves up some serious beef.

i ordered 300gm canadian ribeye (medium) and it was almost perfect. juicy, flavorful, and just perfectly done, the only negative was that it wasn't very thick. pity it wasn't 3,000 gms :) sides were good and the sauces accompanying the steaks could be better. can't fault the service one bit; the waiters, the manager, all were very friendly and willing to assist. food is definitely not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

don't miss out on this wonder if you're staying at waldorf astoria or just visiting rak.

ordered the medium well sirloinsteakwith mashed potato truffles and two sauces (black pepper and wild mushroom cream). thesteakwas brilliant! i next ordered the creme brûlée and it was fabulous. friendly staff, great ambience, definitely recommended!

we stayed at waldorf astoria for our anniversary weekend and it was gorgeous. had our special dinner at lexington grill and everything was brilliant. i have to give special credit to the gentleman at the bar - prajapati, he made the best mai tai's and old fashioned. what an art! for starters we had burrata and sea bass and asteakfor mains. food was amazing and service was top class.

the lexington grill was a restaurant everyone had mentioned so as beingsteaklovers we had to give it a try. we visited the day before and spoke to man on front of house who was very friendly told us all about the restaurant and others within the waldorf we appreciated his time and booked for the following day. he took our names and asked if it was a special occasion we mentioned we were in holiday.

we arrived and were greater by the staff by our married name and a book table had been reserved for us. the staff were so helpful and chatted through the various steaks - we decided upon the mixed selection as wasn't disappointed as got to taste a bit of everything they have to offer it included , steak, short ribs, prawn and lobster. the food, service and staff could not be faulted. it was a lovely touch when they appeared with a cake saying happy honeymoon and a congratulations card signed by all the staff.

i would recommend this restaurant but it is on the pricey side so be prepared!

possibly the beststeakever tried in uae, we had the rare to medium done tenderloin which was cooked to perfection. also tried the grilled jumbo prawns and they were lip smacking good. the restaurant is perfect for a romantic dinner with the dim lighting and very classy decor. not to mention the service was flawless and our server was very knowledgeable and was quick to suggest options to suit our taste. they also had a brilliant selection of wines to pair with the food making it just the perfect place for a special evening.

the staff at lexington grill exceeded my already high expectations. one of our servers could have penned an entire essay just on knives! i loved their passion for everything from cuts ofsteakto varieties of wine and choice of cutlery. fun fact: the interior decor of this restaurant has been crafted to reflect the marbling in meat. that kicks mcdonald's "red and yellow" color psychology trick to the curb. lexington offers dinner and a show with the dramatic preparation of the monroe - a cocktail served in a cloud of smoke. one of the many jewels in the waldorf astoria's crown.

excellent steaks is what you can expect at this specialiststeakhouse in one of uae's grand hotels. the restaurant has a nice cosy ambience and the service staff are really helpful and eager to please.

have been there a couple of times and will be going there again soon.

the place is nice and good option when you are in rak... the starter in general was fine and nothing special about it except the tomato soup which was exceptional.. we had the lexington salad, waldrof salad, burrata & tomato salad and the crab cake... but i have to give them the credit for their bread and mocktails... thesteakwas definitely one of the best very tender and melts in your mouth
