one of the best italianplacein rotorua.
service and food is pretty good. even choices of wines are quite good too.

i fancied their dessert as well

it is well placed amongst the central rotorua area. i've visited theplacetwice and it has given good dining experience.

came here for dinner last thursday evening and theplacewas packed. waiter advised us would be a 45 minute wait for the food, i was feeling like a few drinks so i didn’t mind the wait. we waited at the bar for a table to open up and it wasn’t long. ordered fried calamari and chicken pizza to start, both were average not worth remembering. then our mains of spaghetti and crab risotto came out with garlic bread and it was so yum. risotto was so creamy and delicious and spaghetti was good. service was good, our waiter took care of us even though it was busy, definitely will visit again.

had dinner here the other night, the food was really nice and quick.  had the meatlover's pizza which was really really delicious as well as the calamari salad, which the salad was good... but the calamari was really sad looking and didn't taste quite right.  finally we had a creamy pasta dish which was mushroom chicken based, however the portion of the dish was very lacking sadly, the chicken was a bit overcooked and was left wanting more pasta. overall i rated thisplace3/5 cause the food was pretty average.

wouldn’t say thisplaceis authentic italian. ordered the arancini for entree which was tasty, however i had the slightest feeling packet risotto was used for the filling but unsure..
i had the crab risotto for main which isn’t what i was expecting - i found this to be way too creamy and struggled to taste and find the crab which was supposed to be the star of the dish. it went well with the crispy parmesan and prosciutto on top due to the risotto not having much flavour itself but i think much less cream/sauce and chunkier crab would have been a lot better.
my mum got the crayfish ravioli which she found had too much going on in the plate and struggled to taste the flavours well.
on a side note the broccolini was nice & crunchy!

we had heard good things about thisplacebut were very disappointed - took over an hour waiting just to get drinks menu and then only after asking. had garlic bread, cold mains and very little service in the two hours we were there. other tables around us (sitting outside) were obviously getting similar service!! we won’t be back.

eat streat is theplaceto eat in rotorua as it seems everyone in town is here! leonardo's was a good spot for classic italian comfort food. service was great as were the pastas. the bruschetta was a little average however.

theplaceopens at 5pm and for a change they don't serve pizza being an italian restaurant. we ate their chef special menu and it was like the best italian food i have ever had.

not much to say about thisplaceother than, it was amazing! we were passing through rotorua en route to queenstown from australia and found thisplacewhich was conveniently not too far from where we were staying. we were greeted by a waitress who did everything she could to get us a table and accommodate us while we had to wait toplacean order due to how busy they were. the wait felt like no longer than a few minutes thanks to our waitress who made us feel comfortable and entertained. once we received our mains, we were amazed at the quality for the price. definitely recommend thisplaceto anyone.

this was also our second visit in leonardo's. it was just shifted to eat streat 3 weeks ago. the food was as good as our first visit there. the spaghetti with mussels and anchovy was so delicious. we also tried their pork belly, lasagne, roasted chicken. the lasagne was so good too. the roasted chicken was good but if you cannot take spicy food this was not for you. pork belly was just average. i loved the creme caramel! a must try! the only downside was the food was serve very slowly. we waited for about an hour to get our dinner served. otherwise, this was a goodplaceto look forward.

headed out for dinner on a sunday evening, intending to find aplaceto eat on tutanekai st and found parking outside leonardos on pukaki st.  after a short walk around we found that leonardos was full while the others seemed to be quite empty and we decided that we should try it out.
leonardos is a small restaurant and has a cosy ambience.  we were told that they hand made their pasta and we decided to go for a bolognese and a seafood pasta ($20). the food was excellent - full of flavour and hand made pasta definitely has a better texture than normal. wine by the glass ($8)
the kitchen is open air and you can see your food being cooked - which adds to the "authentic" vibe that they try to create. the wait staff was very friendly.
worth a visit.
