lemongrass sushi & wok

was not very good and had crappy service. pad thai was not very good and overly spicy without any indication on the menu that it would be (all other spicy items were indicated with a chili and multiple for super spicy). service was sub par and slow.

fiery chicken was rather bland and lacked flavor. miso soup was good.

really fresh. we went there this past week and wow...so much better than rain. it was very fresh and i liked how the spicy tuna rolls had full pieces of tuna, not the ground up stuff. the tempura rolls were great and it was very reasonable.

my daughter's favorite sushi in town...and my favorite kung pao. this is one of our favorite places to eat in town. it is always my 10 year old daughter's first choice. she is a sushi lover and their sushi is by far her favorite. she gets the amarillo roll which includes steak (of course, being an amarillo roll) and cucumber (she adds avocado and likes to get extra teriyaki on the side). my wife's favorite is either the tootsie roll with tempura salmon and cream cheese or the sushi lovers which is a whole tempura roll with salmon and cucumber).

i discovered their kung pao beef my first visit there and haven't been able to move off of it yet. it is my favorite in the city. it has a very unique sauce and the beef is perfect for kung pao.

the owners lee and lacy always make you feel welcome and if you are lucky you will get to meet their young daughter, katie. she is adorable and a highlight of a visit to lemongrass.

the atmosphere is elegant and quiet. a great place to eat if you want to be able to visit and hear each other. they have really done everything right.

went here for my birthday dinner with the family. veggie stir fry was great.

egg drop soup was too thick and not very fresh tasting.

sushi(spicy salmon) : i prefer the sauces on the side because i typically enjoy the taste of plain sushi. it was average at best, as you seen by the rating. salmon was a little chewy, rice was cooked perfectly, and the kyle wrap wasn't very flavorful. however, it tasted fresh and it was good...

suggestions:

1. the layout of the tables is not very inviting or open. environment should feel a bit more contemporary with more artificial lighting and lighter colors with less booth seating and additional open tables.

2. i strongly believe the taste of your dishes could be enhanced by the quality of your water. placing a water filter and/or changing that filter often can help reduce the taste of amarillo city water.

when walking into this resturaunt the first thing you see is a big menu of what they serve and then there's a big sushi like buffet, and you can also see the sushi chef and chef cooking food if you'd like, the customer service was good overall, we ordered the crab rangoon to start off and that was really good, then ordered the honey lemon chicken with white rice, also ordered the amarillo roll and the california roll, the amarillo was very good, the cali roll was decent, and the entree was delicious, price was good for what we ordered.

been here before and it was good but was very disapointed this time. $9 for combo fried rice and the portion was very small. also, the shrimp (2) did not look cleaned well. philly roll was ok. over-priced. i probably wont go back.

terrible! i had the sushi lovers roll and it tasted like mayo and thats it! had no other flavors besides the mayo it was caked in. the sesame chicken was really dry and flavorless. i also ordered brown rice and got the white jasmine rice and it was sticky and nasty.

sewergrass. the first thing i noticed was the smell, and we should have walked out then. the rolls were not good, and after eating less then half of the 3 rolls and 2 beers the $70 charge was icing on the cake.

the worst food i've ever had. flavorless and a funky taste. chicken was sour and slimy the fried spring rolls were burnt to a crisp and no flavor. horrible. don't waste your money.

yum. the orange chicken and jasmine rice is fabulous! the plate is also quite large!

literally the best hot'n'sour soup in amarillo, and i've done the leg work!!!

waste of money. the food was very bland, practically no flavor in the chicken! i was very disgusted by how oily the plate of "little ninja" was that my son ordered. my plate i ordered was the chicken curry and the chicken was super bland, and the rice seemed to be not thoroughly cooked since it was crunchy. very disappointed, save your money and go to young sushi

at the risk of overcrowding our favorite spot we must offer up that we live an hour from amarillo and make the trip a couple times a week just to enjoy it. 4 stars.

the food was awesome! our waitress was very nice and helpful. it was our first time having sushi and we had a lot of questions. :) overall, we were very impressed!

had california roll, very fresh!!! will eat here again to try more!!
