garbage customer service and extremely rude employees. not worth the mediocre food. the only thing thisplacehas going for it is the location.

great food, interestingplacewith awesome music. loved the vibe and the people. almost all of the customers are hipsters or hippies and it is a fun environment with a lot of people working.

when i was in high school, this was the hipplaceto hang out. we couldn't go to bars, and most coffee shops closed around 8 p.m, so leela's was a shining beacon of light in our adolescent lives. now that i'm older, i still go to leela's every now and then, but not with the passionate fervor that i did when i was sixteen. they make fantastic ghirardelli white chocolate mochas, and the food is generally okay. the ambiance is relaxed, but a little disorganized, and it's not exactly the cleanest shop around. still, it's all of these things that make it a european cafe (because, come to think of it, i've never seen a spotless cafe in paris), as well as one of the coolest coffee shops in denver.

beware---. :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( run, do not walk run from this den of iniquity! i loved thisplaceand ate there often. i loved it so much i made a piece of art (a framed photograph) to hang on the wall there. i gave it to the girl behind t he bar (mahina) with the clear admonition that it was on loan and not a gift. she in turn passed it down to sara who works in the kitchen.
i returned in three days to be informed the photograph was hanging in the kitchen. i was then told that a member of the staff had taken it home. on repeated attempts to retrieve my work the staff circled the wagons, became vague and stonewalled i have gotten nowhere with repeated efforts to regain possession of my work and seriously doubt if i will ever again see my photograph which i now consider to be stolen property.
the staff obviously could care less. thisplaceis a monument to indifference.

my favoriteplacein denver!. i've been making a frequent trip to leela's for about 3 years now and there isn't aplacei'd rather be in the denver area. the staff is usually very helpful, friendly and energetic. also, there food is incredible! i've had everything from there burgers to their paninis, their breakfast entrees and you can't forget their delicious cheese fries. my favorite thing about leela's is that if i'm not there eating breakfast or lunch, i'm there late-night drinking with friends, enjoying the city and loving the atmosphere. if you haven't been, please go!

visit anytime. i stop into leela every time i visit denver. i can always count on hot coffee and wifi at any time of day or night. is wi-fi $10 bucks in your hotel? trot down to leela. they serve tasty, simple food like sandwiches and french fries any time of day, too. leela becomes a sort of island in the city. everything, even bars, have closed up shop, but you're not ready to go home or maybe it's daytime, but you don't the prices and pressure of eating right on the mall. you stop in grab a cold or hot drink and relax--on the veranda if weather allows. it's the kind ofplaceevery city should have.

i was so pleased to stumble upon leela’s during my recent trek down 15th street in downtown denver. after the parking lot and the hyatt and other massive buildings, it was great to walk into aplacethat was open and welcoming, not looming over me. leela
