when i was in high school, this was the hip place to hang out. we couldn't go to bars, and most coffee shops closed around 8 p.m, so leela's was a shining beacon of light in our adolescent lives. now that i'm older, i still go to leela's every now and then, but not with the passionate fervor that i did when i was sixteen. they make fantastic ghirardelli white chocolate mochas, and the food is generally okay. the ambiance is relaxed, but a little disorganized, and it's not exactly the cleanest shop around. still, it's all of these things that make it a european cafe (because, come to think of it, i've never seen a spotless cafe in paris), as well as one of the coolest coffee shops in denver.
