le meridien
what was once an excellentrestaurantoffering a big spread at breakfast and great food, is sadly reduced to a joint offering limited variety and ordinary food. i was totally disappointed with dinner during my last visit. chicken caesar salad was quite plain. favola salmon pizza was so bad, burnt and sticky, even tabasco could not fix it! chicken noodles was ok with the chicken conspicuous by its absence. the only thing i liked was chicken handi which i had ordered from the in-room dining menu during one of the nights of my stay at le meridien. their south indian food is great for breakfast but that's about all that you can expect in these times.

experience wasn’t the way a 5 starrestaurantshould offer.

ambience was good.

food was okay.

pathetic staffs and response. some of them can’t communicate well and they’re rude as well ( we asked for chicken briyani and we were shown quail briyani saying, it’s all same family birds - so insensible)also, they don’t know about the dishes and where they’re kept. so much disorganisation.

we went there for new years eve and the table was off dining in a corner.
uncomfortable chairs ( additional ones just for money sake) we are so disappointed with the experience. chennai’s le meridian is much better.

a starrestaurantthat only provides all varieties i.e inidan, chinese, mexican, continental dishes around the city ... buffet concept.... loads of varieties on food but you shouldn't try typical south inidan dishes here because it won't be a good one as you expect if you are a south indian :(... next about chinese dishes - to say shortly not bad... deserts at its best :) :) hmmm yummiee ..... :( overall rating -- taste -average , --ambience -great ,awesome --cost - little higher

food was good here. pastry we ordered from longitude was too sweet. the service was quite pathetic. the server asked us to occupy anotherrestaurantsince he wanted to make arrangements for the evening festival but we insisted and he obliged. he was restless when we took a while to order our food. when asked to repeat our order he was too fast. we asked him again his response was the same. we could understand that he was upset that we are having our food there at an odd time. he named the drinks wrongly when he served it too. had a bad experience.

beautiful hotel with greatrestaurant. but the food is really pathetic here. had saturday dinner buffet the chef has no knowledge of how the buffet should be spread. there was a salad counter no basic salad only vegetables cut and kept. the food doesn't taste good the briyani was over cooked the roti was burnt the ice cream was local considering the standard of le meridian .same owner as le meridian in chennai .but this one is not maintained properly.

have been here for dinner for a few times. the dinner buffet they provide has different dishes on each day and so it is really important for you to know the recipes so that you don't get disappointed by having foods which you don't like. being a star hotel, thisrestaurantcharges a little less than ₹1000 for dinner buffet. you get a variety in main course and starters. but the dessert section is like every other restaurant's buffet.

it's a beautifulrestaurantwith buffet style dining. the food can be really hit or miss, the staffs were very unknowledgeable they had a picture of sushi however when i asked for it they said "sorry we don't have this chinese dish". they really need to improve on the food the only thing i was able to enjoy were the desserts.

the range of food available at this buffet stylerestaurantin the 5 star hotel, is really great, and all of it was piping hot and fresh tasting, unlike other buffets i have been to. it's clearly very popular as when i ate there for lunch at the weekend, many tables were full and lots of people were coming and going, making for a good atmosphere. my only complaint is that as much as i was enjoying the live music being played, it was a little too loud and meant that i had to lean across the table to be able to chat, or should i say, shout. i have found this in many restaurants in india though; the music rarely seems to be at an ambient level, but perhaps i just have sensitive ears! i would also say that while the price was very reasonable from a western/european point of view, i think if i was an indian person i would find it a little costly, although if you're hungry you can certainly get your moneys worth out of it!!!
