laguna restaurant - millennium atria business bay

had been to thisplacefor an iftar night. sorry to say we were really disappointed. first of all the spread that they claimed was hardly there. the food was ice cold and looked like leftovers, even though we had reached theplaceat 7.30 pm ! the resturant staff was friendly and made us some arabic salad with fried chicken. the chicken was really hard and chewy ! main course almost had nothing to offer other than rice and a curry . the only savig grace was the umm ali. theplacehas such a beautiful view and decor with amazing staff if only the food was atleast half as good as the venue !

very friendly staff, newplaceand the buffet spread is also pretty nice. i’ve seen couple of negative remarks but guys the food is not bad. they can improve their dessert spread though, else theplaceis value for money any day.

so after doing lot of research on zomato for 'ramadan with gold', found laguna restaurant. even though the zomato rating was only 3.3, decided to try thisplacebecause of their kids play area as we had two small kids with us.
theplacewas empty when we entered. we had one look at the spread and it was disappointing. we even thought about leaving, but were too hungry to leave. the starters had few options, the main course didnt have much variety either.
there is outdoor seating and since the play area was accessible from outside, we opted to sit out. the outdoor seating area was spacious and beautiful, had a projector screen.
all the staff were extremely sweet. since the food at the buffet were pretty cold, we were served a fresh platter of starters. the falafel and the small chicken fried pieces were the only ones we were able to enjoy.
umali was served on the table, which was decent.
the supervisor/manager named mr. priyesh(i m not sure if i got the name right) was patient enough to listen to our feedback. he introduced us to the chef mr. chamindra who brought us freshly prepared chicken tikka and rice. there was an egg on the rice which made it look good.

unfortunately the flavours, varieties.. nothing worked. theplaceis too beautiful to be empty on a thu night, which means a lot has to be done in regards to the food for which a customer is paying!
wish the food was at least half as good as the service provided.

the food quality is great, friendly and superb service from the staff from end to finish. the outdoor area is a bonus! has a good ambiance and a goodplacefor family dining with kids as it has a kids play area.

the decor of theplaceis beautiful with a gorgeous indoor & outdoor seating. the food here is very nicely curated as per the whole ambience of theplace& if i have to describe it then i could only use one word it is "delicious". we had taken a really scrumptious arabic mixed grill which was for sharing on our table, the meats & chicken were cooked perfectly. as well as the hot mezze plate for sharing had a really nice mix of falafel, spinach fatayer, cheese sambousek & kibbeh.
a must visit for anyone who would like to enjoy a lunch or dinner in the business bay area!

if you’re in dubai and love delicious food, thisplacewon’t disappoint. lovely interiors, great food and good service. i ordered their lobster bisque and crab cake which were 👌🏻. i’m a shisha lover, so really looking forward to have them start with it soon! great vibes, this restaurant is a must try.
