la renaissance patisserie is a great little place in the heart of the city, with really good quality cakes, pastries, macarons and coffee. if you happen to be in the rocks, be sure to visit!

la renaissance not only stocks the range of masterpiece pastries but also a whole ensemble of other sweet pastries, cakes, as well as savoury baked goods such as croissants, pies, quiches, baguettes, sandwiches and so on.

i really enjoyed it here. the food was pleasing, the court yard was very welcoming and cosy and the staff were quite friendly. a perfect place for morning tea. i returned the next week but was disappointed to find the patisserie was closed for renovations. no cake for me:(

please do pay a visit here when you're looking to rewind and relax for brunch, lunch or arvo tea. the colourful panels of macarons and desserts has already got me trying to set a date with another friend. oh and nts: arrive before 2.30pm for their baguettes!

...both tasted authentically french – especially the poulet chasseur which was a traditional french hunters recipe of diced chicken, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, garlic and white wine. pretty much everything i love in a dish all packaged up in one little pie and definitely not a flavour that’s common in pie stores around the city. it was deliciously rustic and while i thought that the tomato base could

i went to la renaissance on monday morning. it wasn't very busy so i could enjoy myself at the courtyard. it was relaxing and lovely. i had flat white coffee which was quite nice. almond croissant was very good, butterly, almondy and crunchy. i reckon it could be one of the best almond croissant i have ever eaten. the traditional chicken pie was ok but not that special. this place is highly recommended for anyone who wants to see how good patisserie looks like.

best cheese stick in sydney. felt peckish this afternoon and decided to try their cheese sticks 'coz i saw heaps piling on display. for $3, it's definitely the best cheese stick i ever had in sydney. love the texture, piping warm and crispy. very subtle taste for cheese stick. i can't wait to get back there for next weekend!
