a well-lighted store dominated with white and red colour for the decoration. came here on sunday afternoon, the place was rather empty, thus the quick service.

the gelato tasted fresh, with wide variety of flavour, combined with the smooth andcreamytexture. the size was also decent; the medium sized cup can cater 2 adults perfectly. for the size, the taste, and the texture of the gelato, it is nicely priced and worth it.

would definitely come back to have more gelato!

this gelateria is a strong contender for the best gelato in brisbane.

people have been flocking to messina lately - but la macelleria, in my opinion, has the better product.

the flavours aren't over the top - the focus is just on good gelato. the result iscreamyand delicious.  it may not seem like a good option, but if you really want to taste how good their product is i recommend the fior di latte. very simple, but very good.

went here for late night dessert on a friday night and was pleasantly surprised to see la macelleria gelateria was the lone eatery in the vicinity that was opened, and bustling with people.

i had a small waffle cone with flavours - bo & bo (includes a rich hazelnut sauce poured into the waffle cone) and crema bologna (subtle flavours of lemon). the ice cream was beautifullycreamyand well-made.

friendly staff. casual ambience - limited indoors and outdoors seating. reasonable prices.

overall, deliciouscreamygelato - a lovely dessert spot in teneriffe.

on the way home from the airport i did a detour to la macelleria. not accidental bcos i've been yearning for gelato since i finished lunch today. at 3.30pm outside the gelateria there are a dozen happy campers tucking into their sweet treats.

walking in, i am greeted by a happy gelato server and after a quick chat offers me a few gelato samples. nice, all very nice. then suddenly i remember messrs. meatballs and kan do's recent reviews and recommendations. mr meatballs recommends the stracciatella ( fior di latte with dark choc flakes) and caramello salato (salted caramel). and mr kan do, the nicciola (hazelnut). i quickly order these 3 gelato flavours in a cup and without much ado i find a seat and start to enjoy thecreamygoodness. wow! they are all nice but the standout gelato today is the hazelnut gelato with its strong fresh hazelnut flavour. thank you guys!

this gelato place was busy on friday night when we decided we wanted some ice cream. this place took me back to italy! it's gelato is socreamyand smooth and the flavours are amazing! best of all the prices aren't that expensive! we ordered the pistachio, tiramisu, salted caramel and hazelnut. i wish i had ordered a bigger serving! service is quick and friendly. i noticed they also do other desserts and sell some savoury ingredients which i didn't really check out this time around as i was too engrossed in picking my flavours! definitely a must try!

probably my favourite gelato shop in brisbane. located in newstead, not far from the river, so it's ideal to grab a gelato and go for a walk while enjoying dessert. they have a few chairs outside the shop as well if you prefer to sit. they don't have a huge selection of flavours but the quality of the gelato is so good that it doesn't even matter. the taste is rich, creamyand full of flavour. my favourites are pistachio and salted caramel. it's not quite messina, but it's definitely delicious and well worth a visit.

gelato perfection. i used to drive to rosalie for amazing gelato, but since my first visit to la macelleria, i haven't looked back. the flavours are traditional and executed to perfection. the gelato is amazinglycreamyand the granitas/sorbets are clean and flavourful. an indulgent treat on a hot summer's day, or to be honest, on any day!

tasty but abit exxy. if your in the market for a nice treat then this place is for you. very tasty andcreamyafter meal treat. it is a tad bit on the exxy side for the serving sizes but i guess that cant be avoided with the location it is in, tennerife, and obviously the high rental overheads on the premises. we went on a saturday night at around 7 and there were a steady stream of people coming in. only 1 staff member on hand though so that meant the lineup can get quite long.

with the days getting longer and the nights getting warmer, there is nothing more satisfying than a delectable gelato or sorbet that’ll brighten the day and refreshen the taste buds. the gelato is creamy, smooth and full of flavour. my favourite gelato would be the ‘bacio australiano’ which is the white chocolate mixed with macadamia chips as well as the ‘caramello salato’ which is salted caramel perfection. however, the fresh sorbet gets me every time and would prefer it over thecreamygelato. the flavours change reguarly but lemon lime & bitters, lemon, kiwi and grapefruit would make the top of my favourites list. there is nothing more refreshing than a cold sorbet at the end of the night, and the best part is that there is 0% fat! i have become quite enamoured with this little store and can be found there most nights enjoying a sorbet. i definitely recommend giving this place a try but be warned, you may get addicted!!! in love and food, vivi filed under: dessert , italian tagged:
