this is such a fabulous restaurant. a real gem. we decided to have a mid week trip into the city for some dinner and had been given a voucher for la gondola which needed to be used. i have to admit, i had never heard about it before but will definitely be back again. it was one of the mostdeliciousmeals i've had in a while and they haven't fallen into the "we're in temple bar so we'll charge a fortune" trap. very reasonably priced but the quality is fantastic.
we shared a generous portion of chicken wings to start. my daughter had the pizza and chips (omg, best chips ever!!!!), himself had the lasagne with chips (seriously...the chips are sooooo good!) and i had the chicken venizia. i can honestly say we were blown away. my dish wasdeliciousdown to the very last pea. i tried all of the dishes and was equally impressed with each one. my daughter tends to eat only a fraction of her meal, but last night she ate til she physically couldn't eat anymore and even took the remaining pizza home with her - first time!! himself had 2 glasses of house red and i had adeliciouscappuccino after dinner.
i would also like to compliment the staff - they were just wonderful. so friendly and warm.
it's just so good - you need to try it.
