la bocca urban pizzeria + wine bar

good time. food tastes great. appetizers and drinks were great. pizza was a little underwhelming. loud inside. outside patio was delightful although tables a little small for four adults. overall well worth the money. we had a great time.

excellent!. one of the best places in town, from the warm and cozy atmosphere, the delicious dishes and the friendly staff. everything is inviting about la bocca so bring your family, your date or coworkers out for nice meal.

nice spot. i like this spot, i dont go to mill ave(i really cant stand this part of arizona, it used to be cool but now its avoid at all costs), but lo bocca is a nice spot with great pizza, only place worth going to on/near mill ave, period.

great pizza. i really enjoyed this spot, pizza was fantastic, enjoyed a bottle of wine that was not over priced,.. the staff were friendly and outgoing, i will be back soon. i dont like going to tempe mill area but when i do for some shopping, i always stop a la bocca. kudos to them.

craving good pizza!. ended up at la bocca late last night after being turned away at cibo at 9:15, bummer. i always get there bruschetta when i go here, but the boyfriend wanted to try something different so we went with the antipasti platter. it was pretty tasty, and they really hook you up. i was almost full by the time we finished it but theres always room for pizza. we ordered the margherita pizza and added caramelized onions and truffle oil. when the pizza came out there was hardly any cheese or basil, some slices didn't have either on them, pretty much just the crushed tomatoes. the crust is tasty but it's limp in the middle, so i had to use my fork for most of it. overall it was a good pizza, i just wish they would have gone a little heavier with the toppings. the service is always good when i come here, and i love the patio, it's always fun to people watch on mill. oh and the desert! you have to try the mint ice cream with chocolate chips. i don't normally like mint anything, but this is the real deal. none of that fake mint flavor, it's really refreshing after your meal.

definitely worth a visit. party of 12 - no problem! superior service: we got happy hour pricing on wine, even though we arived shortly after hh was over, waitress offered to split tabs and did so with no mistakes, staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. food was great, reasonably priced. defnitely worth a visit

delish!!!. we recently had "date night" at la bocca and were soooooo impressed. we typically hang in arcadia and scottsdale, but we're glad we left our comfort zone for this little shack of flavor! our service was wonderful and the food was lovely. no complaints here - just compliments. yummo!!!

great food and atmosphere. we have been to la bocca four times and every time we have been very impressed. the pizzas are great. this last time we also had the bruschetta plank (choice of four). what a great way to get four distinctly different and delicious tastings. wish they had another location further north.

it would seem the “urban pizzeria” is a bit of a local catch phrase. sadly, not all urban pizzerias are created equally. we went to la bocca mid-week with a friend who had been there before and was craving the bruschetta planks, a sampler of four of the e

really liked it.. went on sat june 20 before a show at gammage. server was very friendly and helpful - and comped my friends drink. we had the boca trio pizza and the pear and goat cheese salad. both were excellent. loved the dressing on the salad - very tangy. i also appreciated that they got us in and out quickly so we could catch our show. had a nice wine list and reasonable prices.

amazing!!!!!!. la bocca is by far one of the best places to eat for lunch or dinner. they have great specials like sunday and monday's is half off wine, tuesday's it's 2-for-1 pizzas! how could you not like that? la bocca is for the sophisticated mouth for sure. the turkey brie sandwich is mouth watering!! bruschetta to die for!! must go great place!!!!

a favorite!!. love love love this place. amazing pizza. rivals pizzeria bianco and one of the best red sangrias i have ever had. i can't stand tempe, but i go there just for la bocca. plus, dan's the man ;)

great food & service. everything i've ever ordered has been awesome, fresh and very tasty. the service is excellent, even during the lunch hour rush. some really unique dishes and salads that are to die for.

i've enjoyed the food each time i've been here. the pizzas are very good. each time though it seems service is slow and less than attentive. i hope they can get the service under control because other than that this place rocks.
