underwhelmed. another expensive, pretentious restaurant filled with self-important staff serving average food. disappointing. the the hostess was the only redeeming staff member. she was delightful and courteous. the physical experience is inviting and comfortable. too bad the staff or kitchen can't sustain the feeling you experience from the beautiful surroundings.

food and service are still the same, great. but the new location is acoustically loud when the dining area is full. especially when there are obnoxious patrons next to you who are hoallaring obscenities while they brag about their pitiful job life. who wants to hear that crap when you're dropping a couple hundred bucks on dinner? the seating area compromises of mainly tables, no booths. there is one bench seating that accommodates 3 or 4 tables. that's where i sat and that was too close for comfort.

omg! this steak melts in your mouth and you can cut it with a butter knife. this is truly a different dining experience! if you appreciate meat, this place is for you.

different cuts, amazing flavor!. do yourself a favor and do not get a traditional steakhouse cut of beef. go out on a limb and try skirt, hanger, or flank. you will not be disappointed! for sides: mashed potatoes or fries, skip the asparagus.

"blinded by the light". this is quite an unusual review in the sense that the food was actually above par and the service was good...if you make a 6:00 or 6:30 reservation, make sure you reserve a table "not" in the sun. as a former advocate of la boca, i brought a couple here with wonderful memories of past meals and impeccable service. it's amazing how a "smug" hostess, who claimed that "this" is the only table available, can ruin an otherwise favourable dining experience. you should not have to use the menu as shade for 30 minutes until the sun sets ."completely unacceptable"!!!!

brought a party of 16 in for a special birthday meal. service was good food very good but when we went to pay our $1600 billthey would not accept a $100 gift card!!the manager said it was expired my son gave it to my husband for fathers day and we were trying to use it that november! he would not budge even though we brought in a very large party. we will not be back because of the way we were treated. la law states that no gift certificate may expire before 5 years! we wrote to them pleading our case but have had no response. don't ever purchase a gift certificate from this place!

have eaten here 4-5 times now. haven't been disappointed once. the proveleta and the hanger steak are my favorites! awesome staff, awesome service!! love it!

my experience did not start well, but once my tastebuds processed the steak: all was forgiven and the happiness i was expecting from la boca continued... this is small restaurant and i'm glad we called for reservations because a line was forming from the street traffic. as with small establishments, certain menu items tend to run out and you don't find out until the waiter places the order which happened to me and it was easily remedied with the waiter's help. i had to return my salad because it had dirt and i can't stand the sensation of grit between my teeth. management apologize, but my brain was registering strike two....until the steak.... no more words necessary

great bar service. dined on the 23rd. seated at the bar. good service and really enjoyed the food. the bartender was attentive and asked if i needed any help with the menu. would definitely go back again and try something else.

at the old location the waitress was rude to us. we decided to check out the new location and are glad we did. the food was great and service was much better. just the only thing is the meat portions are small. overall great food and wine.

hands down the best steak i've ever had. literally cooked to perfection. those brussel sprouts are worth mentioning...also the best i've ever had.

like the hanger steak. loved my hanger steak. great tasting, lean cut of meat. personally, i think the grilled sweetbreads are only "ok," sort of lacking in taste. coconut ice cream cake looks impressive but tastes only average. but still, i like this place for a different type of steak dinner.

i had possibly the best meal of my life here recently. the provoleta was amazing. the bife "la boca" steak was the most flavorful piece of beef i can recall eating. my wife's skirt steak with "skin" was also wonderful. the fries were just okay in my opinion but the meat is the star of the show here. well worth a visit or many visits.

every time i come to la boca i always leave so happy. every single thing on the menu is fantastic...the gnocchi is my favorite and i have been working down the menu with the steaks. you cant go wrong here! highly recommended!!
