gastropub in powell was surprisingly wonderful! came in for brunch on sunday and had the breakfast burger and tostados rancheros- both excellent. did not have a chance to try any cocktails, but the menu looks very interesting. service was very good and quick. i recommend making a reservation- the place was packed. can’t wait to come back!

kraft house no. 5 is one spot for brunch that i’m crazy about, but i don’t feel it gets enough love. with some unique takes on what can be a very generic meal, this spot won’t disappoint you. so plan a jaunt to powell, take in some shopping, and fill up with some tasty food and drink at kraft house.

host and management do not understand what a reservation is. after showing up at 7:04 for a 7:00 reservation, the host and management would not seat my party despite there being an open table. after inquiring to the reason, they responded in a disrespectful and rude manner. cannot rate the food as we left immediately after being treated in such a way.

the creators are michael and louie pappas, of the pappas family who owns tommy’s diner in franklinton ( milo’s and its catering arm are also one of their spots – it’s named for the two of them: michael + louie). the restaurant also picked up a lot of attention because the kitchen is led by all-star chef marcus meacham. marcus has appeared nationally on tv, and he made bodega in short north a destination for good food and drink. so it’s no surprise that kraft house no. 5 is rocking out powell (and columbus) with lunch, dinne

love kraft house 5. i've had lunch here twice in the past 2 weeks with large groups of ladies. tayler was our server both times. in addition to the food being excellent, we enjoyed wonderful service. will definitely be back!

very happy tummy. i've never liked the term "gastropub," but the concept is fantastic: a semi-casual place with an excellent selection of beer and a small but tight menu that resists cliche. that's what this place is like, and you can tell from the clientele on a recent early saturday night--older people, families, a few hipster-y types . . . a nice mix. i bravely chose the sea bass (restaurants always seem to overcook fish) and it was perfectly cooked. the fries are hands-down the best in town. my only complaint is that the bread use for a couple of the sandwiches was a bit overly buttered or greasy--a brioche might work better. but that's a small complaint. service was prompt and friendly and for what you get, it's very reasonably priced. i'll be back.

really like this place. we've eaten here a few times & have had great meals. the burger was fantastic - very juicy. awesome beer selection. fun atmosphere. similar to other gastropubs in downtown columbus. it's a little on the more expensive side, but i'll pay it for the level of quality we've had here.

really like this place, been several times, kid friendly, great food and very good beer list. the negative reviews are way off base. prices are very reasonable and staff is welcoming. thanks chef meach & owner louie!

way too pretentious. way too over priced. easy street was warm, casual and inviting. i won't go back. can't stand dbag chefs who play with food. $14 for a cheeseburger? wtf are you smoking?

as a former chef....i enjoyed this establishment. the food was delightful...seasoned well (which lets face it, is hard to come by in this city) and appropriately portioned. the menu is not too small. it's quite perfect actually. how about we stop thinking menus need to be books and just enjoy what the chefs idea of quality food is. if you are so pickly you need a cheesecake factory menu to find something to eat then go there or stay home and make your own food. i will go back to these establishment. keep up the good work. also the wait staff was very nice and attentive. much respect kraft house no. 5

good food, welcoming atmosphere. my husband and i stopped into kraft house no. 5 to escape the rain of the powell festival. we had our toddler with us and, despite the fact that the restaurant is more upscale than its predecessor (easy street cafe), the staff was completely welcoming - finding a spot for our stroller, grabbing a booster seat, etc. although there wasn't a kids' menu per se, we were able to wing it with the pork shank (tender enough for out little one to try), the burger (big enough to split), and garlic fries (my son ate them up!). my husband loved his beer and i tried the rose wine on tap...delicious. we'll probably get a babysitter for the next trip, but my first experience was positive. i'll definitely be back.

horrible!!! so disappointed in this place. easy street was so much better. kraft house was so expensive and the portions were ridiculously small. also.. the menu was way too tiny.... not much to choose from. way too expensive for what we get. sorry but will never go there again. please bring back easy street cafe...
