kono's!!! if only you'd relocate to the mainland. hmm...i wonder if thebreakfastbomber would taste as good outside of the fresh island air? of course it would! i had the chun, it was heavenly ya'll. i'm not even remotely southern but dayum every colloquialism you can think of will slide into your vernacular while eating thisbreakfastburrito. it is savory, somehow has the perfect crunch and flavor. there is a cool array of flavored sauces to enhance your meal but they were so far from necessary. i could wax poetic for days about this meal. also the people who work there are awesome. there's not much room indoors and if you eat outside expect to be hanging with chickens but who the eff cares. go, go now.

hadbreakfasthere, jet lagged and in dire need of a shower just after arriving. had abreakfastburrito with egg, bacon, avo and other stuff in it, it was delicious, fresh and served quickly.  this place is a production line for food, but they do it well, great value for money and served quickly.  the girl at the front counter was great and helped us with our non working jet lagged brains decide on what to have.  we are returning tomorrow morning to have a go at other dishes on their menu, fantastic.

kono's is known for theirbreakfastburritos, which are filled with potatoes, cheese, and scrambled eggs, and your choice of other fillings. dh got the pipeline, which includes ham. i got the waimea, which includes bacon (it looks just like the pipeline, above). the burritos were nice and hot, fairly large, and delicious!

before hitting the kealia trail on the north shore of oahu, we stopped by kono’s restaurant in haleiwa for a quick breakfast. kono’s is a great local spot that serves great food in a casual atmosphere. you’ll find both locals and tourists here. counter at kono’s as you enter the restaurant, you’ll see the menu written on a huge blackboard behind the counter. it may look overwhelming because there’s so many delicious items to try. if you likebreakfastwraps, try one of their sixbreakfastbombers , a warm tortilla filled with seasoned yukon gold potatoes, scrambled eggs, jack and cheddar cheese inside. served with house salsa, you’ve got a lot to choose from: local – portuguese sausage waimea – crispy bacon haleiwa – kalua pig pupukea - roasted veggies wendy’s - roasted veggies & bacon sunset – just potato, eggs & cheese kalua pigbreakfastbomber the “haleiwa” was squealing my name. the  kalua pig was smokey and delicious. i’ve never had it in a burrito, and i’m glad i tried it. maybe

kick ass burritos!!. we atebreakfastonce at our hotel, for 3 of us it was $44 (2 brkfst sand, an oatmeal, 2 juice, 2 coffee) i wasn't about to let a hotel take all our $ and on top of that not give enough food for the price, so i started askin around . we heard of some places but we found konos on our own. excellent food. i got the burrito w/ the pork....awesome, 2 juice, 2 coffee & 2 other items all in the $30 range. wonderful friendly staff & we will visit again!!!

b.e.a.c.hbreakfastsandwich was fantastic! bacon, scrambled eggs, avocado, two kinds of melted cheese, ham and fresh perfectly toasted french bread. can i please have anither? super friendly staff. casual, outside dining. favorite breakfast, can't wait to try lunch.

breakfast for 3 was only $30. amazing food and the outside dining was a plus. the kalua pigbreakfastwrap was phenomenal, the biscuits and gravy platter was great and the macadamia banana waffles were terrific! i can't say enough about the food!

bad ass burritos!!!. thebreakfastburritos were the right up there with the best ive ever had. after eating the whole burrito i could barely eat a little shaved ice. the coffee was great too!

huge burritos, easy on the wallet.... amazingbreakfastburritos! i suggest the wendy's, and definitely go for the salsa (homemade, tons of fresh cilantro). they serve kona coffee as well. the only thing i would improve would be the friendliness of the staff. will definitely be back to try the lunch menu.
