komodo restaurant

recently tasted a few dishes from komodo which is now under new ownership. the shrimp chow mein and the gingerbeefwere so good. i’ve been craving it for weeks now - will have to return asap!

one of the best chinese places in winnipeg. after recommendations from a few friends, we tried komodo for a family dinner take out. it was great! i was a bit skeptical because the prices were lower than most chinese places. but don't be fooled, the food is very fresh, tasty and portions are big!

one of the best dishes was the deluxe fried rice. it is fired grilled and tasty! the chicken balls had large pieces of chicken (not all batter!) and the gingerbeefwas excellent.

highly recommend!

hidden gem. have driven past this place for ages , finally slippery roads and brutal cold forced a choice close to home. a quick review of urban spoon and decision was made. best chinese food in a long time, i generally order from 4v
seasons but i must say this little place can give them a run for their money, there is eat in and it's bigger than it looks but very "diner-ish" but you won't notice the surroundings once you get your meal. the "komodao"beefwas lovely, lemon chicken crispy and tartly lemony , pan fried shrimps great. looking forward to trying more choices

awesome food. the best chinese food i can remember having. they just get better and better each time. their gingerbeefis wonderful, along with all other items we tried on the menu (dinner for 2, etc.). have only ordered for delivery and the wait time is not always as long as told and it always arrives hot and fresh. we do not live close, but just within the delivery area. thank you for some good eats.

love this place. it's the place my in-laws order from regularly and when my iwn parents stopped by for dinner and wanted chinese, we called them up and ordered a meal for 5. we got two huge bags of food, hot and flavourful. i love the chow mein andbeefvegetables. will be mu go-to from now on.

two words: chow mien!. whenever my friends and i have money, we always come here for food(obviously) and i always get thebeefchow mien because it tastes amazing

vege great chicken funky. my friend and i ordered komodo after we tried calling 4 seasons our regular chinese take-out and they were closed  . the vegetables were great! we ordered the chicken almond with diced vegetable which was satisfactory. the vegetables tasted fresh and great, but the chicken not soo much. i despise dark meat and there was a lot of it i expected some nice white meat chicken breast and i feel like we got chicken scraps! we also ordered thebeefwith broccoli. again broccoli was great but thebeefwas far too chewy and i felt like it wasn’t even real beef. i really don’t feel like eating pieces of fat for dinner. we also orderedbeefchow main and i love noodles but they were far too salty and saucy same deal with the beef. the deep fried wontons were not bad a little lighter in taste but i prefer my meat more real and compact again. i feel like they need better meat!!! service was fast; maybe we just ordered the wrong dishes. but if we did consider you warned!! mystery meat!!
