saying this is a hole in the wall is putting it mildly. we were the only people who came in to kitty's and got our food to eat there. they have 6 bar stools but i'm not sure there is room for 6 people to eat there. regardless, i had the cheeseburger and the egg/sausage sandwich and they were both excellent. the person i went with had theporktenderloin with hot sauce and liked it as well.

tenderloins i love. many years ago, there was a small place called "the wagon wheel" on east indepence ave. this was during the 50's and 60's, they served these type of tenderloins. thinly sliceporkloin with tempura type batter. there was also alittle corner stand somewhere down off the paseo close to i-35 also. since, they are both long gone i've suffered. i would go down to the flying pig and get a tenderloin when the craving hit. now, i've found kitty's. i can't believe having worked in kc all my life, i'd never heard of it. now, i'm addicted.

my son came home from texas craving a tenderloin, we head to kitty's, then i went back the next day.

not for everyone, but for me, manna from piggy heaven, just be careful, i get mine with horseradish, be sure and say, "just a small amt"

rumor has it, they do a great breakfast biscuit and catfish sandwich. oh, did i mention they actually have crinkly fries.

great greasy goodness. wow, what a place. tiny kitty's cafe, with all of six stools, is a bit of great greasy goodness. after driving past the place for a few years and finally seeing it on "check, please!" i went. i picked up a couple ofporkloin sandwiches with hot sauce and an order of fries for my wife and me. three, thin, battered, and deep-fried slices ofporkloin topped with lettuce, tomato, and pickle on a soft bun made for a wonderful sandwich. the textures and flavors really worked--crisp, soft, tart, sweet, spicy, and all in one mouthful. my first, but not my last visit.

kc's best!!!. if you think you know anything about kansas city and its food, you better know about kitty's! if you do not! get wise and go to kitty's now! these folks have owned and operated the cafe for over 20 years and have not changed a thing. the menu layout is simple and to the point. catfish, porktenderloin, grilled cheese, chicken, hamburgers and breakfast sandwiches.
i have stood in line with folks that have driven from columbia, mo for lunch. i know vegetarians that will only cheat with kitty's.
the chicken, catfish andporktenderloin are all prepared in the same way. three layers of lightly battered meat with the proper amount of mayo and hot sauce. you might want to order an extra side of the house made hot sauce for the tots and fries!

finally a differentporktenderloin. i am not a huge fan of fast food or fried food but every week i stop by for the wonderfulporktenderloin sandwhich. theporktenderloin sandwhich is like none you have ever had. instead of one long breadedporktenderloin, you get 3 round tempura -battered tenderloins with "everything" which includes onions, lettuce, tomato and the secret bomb ingredient , spicy chinese sauce, no mayo. i am totally addicted.
