tenderloins i love. many years ago, there was a small place called "the wagon wheel" on east indepence ave. this was during the 50's and 60's, they served these type of tenderloins. thinly slice pork loin with tempura type batter. there was also alittle corner stand somewhere down off the paseo close to i-35 also. since, they are both long gone i've suffered. i would go down to the flying pig and get a tenderloin when the craving hit. now, i've found kitty's. i can't believe having worked in kc all my life, i'd never heard of it. now, i'm addicted.
my son came home from texas craving a tenderloin, we head to kitty's, then i went back the next day.
not for everyone, but for me, manna from piggy heaven, just be careful, i get mine with horseradish, be sure and say, "just a small amt"
rumor has it, they do a great breakfast biscuit and catfish sandwich. oh, did i mention they actually have crinkly fries.
