down here on vacation for the weekend and never heard of thisplacebefore but i passed by it, and it looked nice and looked like a nice new orleansplaceto eat. was so glad to come!

the food was fantastic. i got the crispy fried chicken. it had a huge piece of fried chicken on top of some collards all in a buttery, creamy hot sauce. i'm not sure what all was in the spicy sauce, but it was fantastic. it added a layer of heat without overpowering the dish. the collards were very tasty and the chicken was crispy and fried to perfection.

the bill was very reasonable and most items are $15-$20. the portion was well worth the price. the service was great. the atmosphere was very modern and sleek. had no complaints. just wish i could experience thisplaceagain before leaving, but i'm not sure i'll get the chance. will definitely stop back by whenever i come back to nola, as i'm sure their whole menu is amazing.

for the sake of honesty in reporting, this type ofplaceis not where i normally eat. i guess you can call it fancy casual. apparently it's impressive to serve water from a large bottle on the table, in a glass with no ice. ( same thing happened later at palace cafe) that being said, i had an excellent meal. chicken and dumplings with a seafood gumbo. i'm not a huge seafood fan, but decided to try this out since i am in new orleans. fantastic flavor. my chicken and dumplings was very good as well, even if it did seem to take forever to come out. again, this not somewhere i would normally hang out as $25 lunches (after tip) are not my thing. but, it was a great meal.

great atmosphere!. this is theplacefor happy hour! great bar service, atmosphere, location and food. this will be my go toplacewhen i return to visit.

great gluten free cajun-creole. thisplacehad an intimate, sophisticated ambiance and had a special gluten free menu with entrees and apps. we tried the alligator wings and guava butter fries and loved them both. delicious cocktails as well.

bad food. hovering, irritating service. cannot recommend thisplacein any way. just an all around bad restaurant. others seem to disagree, but our meal was not a good one.

seafood cassoulet. great new restaurant in the quarter. thoughtful remodel with exposed brick, wood beam ceiling, slate blue walls and low lighting. we sat a the bar for a round while we waited for a table. well-mixed cocktails from friendly, energetic bartenders.

dinner had highs and lows. i really enjoyed my seafood cassoulet and the service was super friendly. there is one very-fixable issue...i found the food to be off the charts salty and i love salt. the chorizo sauce on the jalapenos was salty and then actually had large, crunchy sea salt grains in it. needless to say the collards that separate the kingfish from the himlayan salt brick it'd served on were super salty.

i think thisplaceis still in soft open so i reserve final opinion. the menu reads like food porn and the staff is great. i would definitely come back again and give it another try.
