as soon as i entered kind eatery i knew it was my kind of cafe- a bit open space with hanging plants and flowers everywhere and gorgeous touches to the decor.
iorderedthe avocado dish, which turned out to a unique combination of chilli peanut butter on dense, midnight baker toast with a side of avocado. pb and avocado are two of my favourite things but i never would have thought to put them together on one dish. surprisingly, the combination kind of worked. the flavours were balanced out by the refreshing addition of surrounding heirloom tomatoes and spice of the dukkah, and i was glad i added halloumi on the side to give the whole dish a little extra kick. 7.5/10
in the end i got food envy of my friend whoorderedthe whipped goats cheese dish. on five grain toast was beetroot done three ways, a poached egg, coconut, hazelnut and goats cheese. i had a little taste of hers and it was delicious- i’m sorry peanut butter and avocado but beetroot and goats cheese go together like soul mates and the pair of you will never quite reach the same level. 9/10
the coffee is nothing to write home about but will do the trick if you need a caffeine boost.
overall a great cafe for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike- lovely ambiance, impeccable presentation of dishes and tasty food.
