i ordered my favourite bibimbap here and must say that it was the best bibimbap i've had in canada thus far. firstly, i'm a kicker for raw eggs in bibimbap, so that may have biased me in its favour. moreover, the rice crisps left at the bottom of the sizzling stone bowl were irresistible and perfectly fine... there was so much and it was delectable!
my mom ordered her favourite kamjatang, while my sister got the jjangmyun. she found it pretty decent, and was satisfied, though interested by the various meat and veggie fillings in the black bean sauce. my cousin got the mandu soup and my dad, thekimchisoup (both not pictured).

an amazing experience!.kimchihouse is one of the very few places in london that serves authentic korean food. i had theirkimchijjigae, and it was honestly the best i've ever had in london, and in comparison to the restaurants i've been to in toronto. the employees here are very friendly, and the service was incredible. however, if you are unfamiliar with east asian dining customs, be aware that you may need to hail your server if you need something, rather than expecting them to come to you every 5 minutes. i would recommend this place to anyone in a heart beat, and will be going there a lot more in the fututre!!

beware the tip. we used to go to this restaurant because truth be told, we thought the food good. unfortunately, the proprietor (a korean woman) never remembered us so whenever we received our bill, she took pains to remind us that the tip wasn't included in the price. we are, by the way, generous tippers. we prefer to leave the tip on the table and i think this woman was used to people leaving tips with their interact or credit cards....so, i believe she didn't 'see' the tip and thought it necessary to remind us. i started to resent being told to tip. the last time we were there, i'd had enough. when my husband went up to pay, he was again reminded. i went to the cash register and told her that we frequented her restaurant quite often and that we always tipped. i added that in canada, we never ask for tips...that it is very rude to do so. i must say, i wasn't at all polite about it and the other clients heard my comments....this i regret. i then took the tip i was going to leave, went back to our table and 'slammed' it down on the tabletop...not my best moment. but, in my defense, i was tired of this woman's rude behaviour. to that end, we will not frequentkimchihouse anymore preferring the decent food and kind service at manna grill. i hope that my actions resulted in others being able to 'dine' without being told to tip.

this is a small restaurant in a tight location right beside soprano's pizza. it is not fancy, or pampered for expensive tastes.

the food is so good (see my uploaded pictures) and the waitress is very nice.kimchihouse is very obviously family-run and i respect what they do there.

whoever says the atmosphere here is poor clearly does not and will never understand the concept of this kind of restaurant. it's a small hole in the wall but was very enjoyable to my boyfriend and i! if you are not a restaurant snob (stick to franchises otherwise), definitely give this place a look! you won't be disappointed!

it's a definite date spot for visits by me in the future.

great experience!. this was the first time that my sister and i went to a korean restaurant, as we are from a small town.

the food was delicious. i hadkimchifried rice, and my sister had bibimbap. both orders were huge! we couldn't finish it all (which was awesome). our meal also came with five side dishes (bean sprouts, fish cakes, kimchi, sweet pickles and pickled radish, and radish kimchi.. this is what we assumed) and a small bowl of soup for each of us.

the server was extremely friendly, and was considerate of the fact that we clearly didn't know what we were doing, being first timers and all. she was very wonderful and patient with us.

for all this food, it came to about $20. definitely worth every penny! i plan on bringing my entire family to this place at one point!

in the pictures that i attached, we had already been eating the main dishes for a while.

really good!!. we went to london for the day and decided to get some korean food (i've had akimchicraving for months~). we were impressed with the food. we hadkimchipancakes,kimchirice,kimchistew... it came with lots of tasty side dishes and tea. ended up being $30. they also had a bowl of gum at the cash register, which i thought was cute (usually places have hard candies). the waitress seemed a little timid, but she did her job well!
