they 86'd the eggs benedict with corned beef & mustard hollandaise! tragic. this brunch spot no longer does a poached egg....? disappointing.

only craft brews on tap. or so the waiter said. i took his advice and had a bells two hearted ipa and a "pale ale" (can't remember brewer) that was more of a red ale, but delicious.

the solid portion of the meal was split between the bacon and carmelized onion mac & cheese and a reuben quesedilla (yes: corned beef, swiss, sauerkraut & 1000 island in a tortilla). a bit heavy, but delicious. my colleague had the black sabbath mac & cheese and made his own quesadilla with chicken and mushrooms.

we spent about $45 before tips--not too bad at all. next time i'm in town i'll have to go back and just study the tap handles...

way too pricey. i have heard good things about this place and was excited to go. the mac and cheese is good and fits the cozy atmosphere, but it's nothing you can't make at home if you take the time to do homemade mac vs. a box.

my major tiff with this place is the prices. the food is typical, so if you go for that alone you are fine. but drinks are utter nonsense. a simple red bull and vodka (well, mind you) is $10. i was floored when my buddy and i got our bill at the end of the night and it was $100. first, there is no way both of us drank 5 red bull and vodkas a piece. second, who the heck charges $10 for well vodka. even at a high end price, a rb-vodka will run $7-$8 max. $10 is getting into martini prices. and well vodka? no thank you.

another even that solidified the class of this establishment was that after paying my bill, i elected not to tip. i'm an ex server so trust me when i say i usually leave a generous tip. it takes a lot for me not to leave anything. after paying and walking out of the place for the night, the bartender preceeded to chase me and my friend down in the street, only to remind us that our drinks were $10 a pop. um, yeah, i got that, and btw, thanks for reminding me not to return. who does that? really? when i literally write, "ridiculous bill" on the tip line, i think i'm well aware of the $10 prices.

good mac and cheese or not, i will not be returning. i will stick to places like jeff ruby's next time if i want to spend $10 a drink.

fail.

over priced. service and food was fine. between 2 of us our bill was $96.00 not including tip just for drinks. the only place in covington that has a $9.00 beer on draft. vodka and redbull $10.00 and was not top shelf. i pay that for a martini at jeff ruby's. not worth it. save your money.

a fantastic birthday lunch!. i went to keystone for my birthday lunch. i met a friend there who had heard that it was "the place to be" and she was right. it was quite an original menu and we both had the "special" which is a mix up of breakfast foods and really quite fantastic. i plan to take other friends back in the future!

quesadillas, homemade bbq sauce, and mac & cheese!. sounds pretty standard, but not here. those 3 things, and more, make this place fantastic! all quesadillas i tried were amazing, especially the the big ugly'dilla. plus, 1/2 priced 'dillas on tuesday and 1/2 priced mac & cheese mondays. you gotta go on those days for sure. highly recommended.

enjoyed. just went there for dinner tonight. it's freezing outside and i was craving sort of casual/american/comfort food type stuff and after much debate settled on keystone (i've also eaten there for brunch). it's good, casual food at a reasonable price point and we were happy. mark and i split an aj's? philly sandwich topped with cheese, roasted peppers, onions, mayo, and jalapenos (i love jalapenos!) and a build your own mac n cheese (bacon, tomatoes, and spinach). i justified ordering them since they both have veggies (that's healthy right?)

the philly sandwich was ridiculously overflowing in a good "yay so delicious can't wait to eat it" way. i'm not sure what kind of cheese it was, it tasted like it had a bit of heat although that might just be from the jalapenos on the sandwich itself. it was falling apart and oozing, and we fought over who got to eat what was left on the plate. the mac n cheese was just what i was looking for on a cold winter night, it had good flavor and texture. love the house barbecue sauce for the chips, it's a great blend of sweet with a hint of spice.

my one criticism - i felt the drinks were a bit weak, not glaringly so, but it seemed like that were a tiny bit short on the pour. i didn't check to see if they free pour, have stop pours, or use jiggers so i'm not sure.

overall - the food definitely hit the spot and it was the kind of atmosphere i was looking for. the menu has enough of a selection to keep me interested (i like trying different menu items) and has that casual neighborhood bar type feel. perfect for a night when you just want good food and friendly surroundings. we'll be back.

friendly server with excellent beer knowledge. we got our food in about 10 minutes. some of the best mac & cheese i've ever had. his wings were great too. so glad we tried this spot. also, nice mix of clientele...not super douchey, at least before 9.

excellent deals on mon and tues!. i love their reuben quesadilla. the presentation may not always be there, but the taste certainly is, and on tuesdays the quesadillas are half price. monday has their specialty macaroni and cheese dishes for half price. the sandwiches are ok, but the appetizers are great and they even have outside dining. if you're in the area i would recommend it.

keystone bar & grill has become our company's go-to place for celebrations, drinks, and even not so pleasant events like saying goodbye to co-workers who have moved on to different opportunities. i can go here in a large crowd or just for a quick lunch by

i really liked keystone and i am wondering why i haven't eaten here sooner! my friends and i had brunch here. no complaints from our table on the items that we had ordered. i highly recommend the potato crisps - multiple ingredient combinations that will satisfy a picky palate. a regular size pc will be your meal and a half order is large enough to be shared as a side. if you like bloody mary's, try the angry bloody (see picture on this site). don't be afraid of the ingredients. it says habenero but that doesn't mean you are drinking hot sauce from a bottle! if you like it hot n spicy.....this one fits the bill. i am looking forward to my next visit!

cool little joint!. best mac & cheese i've ever had. a really cool little place that i plan on going back to again and again. only issue is a personal one.... i'm an ohioan and we don't smoke in bars. unfortunately they allow that in ky, but they do have a non-smoking room, so i may check that out the next time. i highly recommend this neighborhood spot!
