experience of not dining at the sushi bar. my two previous visits to ken'sjapaneserestaurant, i dined at the sushi bar to the immediate right as you enter the building.
last evening, i had my first dining experience seated in the main dining area of the restaurant and ordered a few different non-sushi bar items. unfortunately, i was not at all impressed with the food coming out of the kitchen and would rate it as average at best. i will only visit ken's to dine at the sushi bar.

a fellow diner at the sushi bar, who happened to be a regular patron at ken'sjapaneserestaurant ordered the soft shell crab and encouraged me to give it a try. given the limited season on this item, i decided to splurge and place an order. i could not have been more pleased with this dish. very highly recommended!

absolutely some of the freshest and best tasting maguro sushi available. ken'sjapaneserestaurant definitely exceeded all of my expectations.
