ken's japanese restaurant

looking at the menu and the lunch boxes are a great deal. why one $, but other prices can climb. very good quality. specials based on what fresh items can be had at the market. authentic.

excellent, but not one $. my assorted sushi platter was 11 pieces for $25. great sushi though... too quality fish and not cut into thin pieces for sushi. this is my new ontario sushi place. i'll be back!

experience of not dining at the sushi bar. my two previous visits to ken's japanese restaurant, i dined at the sushi bar to the immediate right as you enter the building.
last evening, i had my first dining experience seated in the main dining area of the restaurant and ordered a few different non-sushi bar items. unfortunately, i was not at all impressed with the food coming out of the kitchen and would rate it as average at best. i will only visit ken's to dine at the sushi bar.

a fellow diner at the sushi bar, who happened to be a regular patron at ken's japanese restaurant ordered the soft shell crab and encouraged me to give it a try. given the limited season on this item, i decided to splurge and place an order. i could not have been more pleased with this dish. very highly recommended!

absolutely some of the freshest and best tasting maguro sushi available. ken's japanese restaurant definitely exceeded all of my expectations.

smiles!. and good all around. i love it when a sushi bar doesn't smell like raw fish! very pleasant and willing to please us. we will be going back to kens!

doesn't look like much from the outside. try the firecracker role, very creative, nice blend of flavors. rainbow roll was good, but was surprised to see imitation crab in the center of it. nigiri selections were fresh. very reasonably priced, but a little slow.

its the bestest

this guy has some of the freshest fish around. every fish is hand picked in la every morning.
