keg and beagle

this is my favourite keg around. friday nights are always lovely and thepubgrub is tasty and well priced. they also have a good variety of beers on tap.

typicalpubkeg! food was average but service is great. more for the boys to watch some english football. however, in the week you can meet just about anyone you need to, for a yum beer and some grub.

far from just apub, the summer and winter menus over and above their usual menus are fantastic. food is great. entertainment on almost every night . great service and a wonderful hands on owner makes it a winner !

i've always liked the homeypubvibe of the keg chain, and the beagle is my new local so we finally tried it out for one of the thursday quiz nights. it gets quite busy so book a table if you want to participate.

the atmosphere is rowdy and lively, and i was curious to try something off their new menu. we ordered pizzas, and they were surprisingly good. i had the chicken and prawn, which was cheesy and delicious. my friend ordered the parma ham and was less impressed as it was quite dry. i quite like the flatbread base they use. forpubfood it was decent, but the vibe is really what you go for.

we are here at least once a week. i have had some really lovely meals here though, but some have been disappointing. as i have tried almost everything on their menu and explore their special boards as much as i can. i can say with confidence that food is overall above average forpubfood. however they really need to fix their service problem. the staff are fantastic but if they cannot keep up when it's busy as it gets during matches then please hire more staff to help during these times. i beg you, will solve most i'd not all of the frustrations.

this keg has a fantastic atmosphere. the menu offers typicalpubfood. they have quite a few drink specials on offer. they have a quiz night on a thursday night and karaoke on a friday night. there are also tons of tvs around the place making it a great place to watch sport.

awesome spot to watch sport - if planning to go watch a big game i'd suggest booking a table. they have great drink specials! for r50 you can get 2 double malibu's and passion fruit - a delicious summer drink! in general the drinks are reasonably priced. the burgers are delicious and massive! i tried thepubgrub burger - very tasty!

after the keg&aviator at the airport, this is my favourite keg. maybe that is because i love the airport so much but anyway...

the keg is the keg which is a pub! expect draught beer,pubgrub and sports on tv. it is not the place to go if you are looking for a fine dining experience. it's the place to go to have a good time, drink beer, eat nachos or pies, support your favourite sports team.

if you keep the above points in mind, i guarantee that you will have a good time there on a saturday night. in the week they have a quiz night as well if that sort of thing is, well, the sort of thing that you like.

it is hard for me to grade keg because you go there for different reasons as opposed to going to a place like the wolfpack or something similar. my rating would have been higher if i had to judge on drinking and watching sports alone because let's face it, one does not go to the keg for the food!

saturday afternoon late lunch and rugby - a friend suggested we try the keg and beagle ...was pleasantly surprised by the excellent service , deliciouspubgrub - owner was in the house and they have proper wine glasses !! sorry that the bulls lost ( again ) !! robyn jacobs leon hazan

it's a keg and what you get ispubgrub. a convenient place if you'really not looking for anything more than chicken livers or a basket of "whatever" and chips.
