not a great experience..the dish weorderedwas grill fish which was mentionedthat it will have mash potatoes and toast with vegetables.to our shock both of it was missing and they had provided us with lemon rice... the taste was also a big let down

i am a food aficionado who loves to explore tastes and flavors and seldom do i write something bad about food. most of the times i chose to keep quite about the drawbacks of the food i'm served but this time i am making an exception.

kahawa has been a regular haunt of mine for a couple of years now. ever since i set foot inside the large comfortable hall with the wildlife murals i have been at home. i have visited the place countless time either to unwind or to finish up some work.

ever since the first i took a bite of their food i was struck by the fanasticity of the food but sadly that has been on the decline since then. it started with the reduce in quantity. earlier the food used to fill the plate, stomach and mind but then the quantity started going down while the prices went up. i justified that quality makes up for quantity until last week when i was served burnt food. i hadordereda non veg starter platter. the order took its time to be delivered and to my horror the sausages were positively burnt. the litchi italian soda that i asked for along with it was another huge disappointment with the litchi concentrate refusing to mix with the soda that had very little bubbles.

this should have prepared me for what is to come but the chicken a la champagne that followed the initial disaster was a bigger disaster. the chicken breast(i assume it was the breast) was so small that i was pretty sure it was quail or some other small bird and i was so over cooked that the base of the meat had formed a fried layer. this piece of chicken was soaked in what i assume is their meat sauce which they serve with their cheesey mash potatoes with bits and pieces of mushrooms.

the only 2 positive things i had in the whole ordeal was
1. the guys who took my order and tended to me were as usual very good and courteous
2. i got to relive a bit of my school days when i found a goosbumps book in their book shelf.

all said and done it makes me sad to see a place i loved so much perform so poorly. hoping they'll pick up their act and rise to standards set by places like cocoa tree and cafe17

this place is famous for its late night coffee sessions but somehow i never liked any of there beverages. however, recently we went there around 3a.m to have something as we couldn't have our dinner. we hadorderedwhite sauce spaghetti pasta and a veg cheese burger. to our delight both the things were prepared nicely and the paste tasted just superb. their brownie with ice cream is also decent.

very disappointed. the food was fully spilled inside the package. iordereda basil seed drink and i was given lime juice. the fried rice was bland and the gobi manchurian tasted so bad.

iordered2 of their juicy beef burger combos, the burger buns was literally rubber and patties seemed frozen. the slaw salad was some salty mixture of cabbage with no sauces. fries were over fried and burnt. their so called italian soda which was basically lemon juice and best part was the one i had didn't have any ice while my friends got ice but they forgot "sugar"...great job guys.

had a very horrific and nauseating experience here on new years. visited them at around 2am as we were starving and kahawa was the only "decent" eatery open at this time at our proximity. weordered5 sandwiches which were served one after the other. to our shock we found a couple of "worms" on the lettuce served along with the sandwich, my cousin was startled by this and reacted in shock, the lady at the counter approched us seeing the commotion. with much exasperation we told her what happened while i removed my phone to get a picture of it, she immediately removed the plate from the table, and shocked us yet again!!! she was really apethetic to the whole fiasco and behaved in a way as if this is a usual situation and even sarcastically proclaimed that worms are high in protein!!! she said she will serve another round of sandwich and returned by serving the same sandwich without any salad. we were in complete disbelief by the level of customer service and reactivity and in the process lost our entire appetite, we cancelled the rest of the orders and ended up paying for the food which we already started eating dispite us quipping and asking if we should pay.

worst food, yesterday iordereda combo and trust me that was the worse food i had ever in my life. package was leaking completely such a worse worse worse food

iorderedfried rice with chilly beef. the food was not good. the packaging wasn't sealed with tape. the gravy was dripping into the carry bag☹️. totally disappointed. there was no bill on the pack.
the person who delivered the order wasn't wearing any brand names (zomato) . so it was difficult to identify .

very worst food in my life waste of cost and not worth able for money....pls avoid combo offer fraudulent....iorderedfried rice and chilli gobi sabja juice for 130 rupees but it worth only 50 rupees

the worst food i ever had.orderedfried rice and chilli gobi online. the curry is too runny. it was like some broccoli dipped in normal drinking water. fried rice was totally burned out. moreover, it took exact 1.20hrs to get the food prepared. utter waste of money.

my friendorderedchicken cream soup online, first of all they delivered veg cream soup.

the quantity & quality was unbelievably bad. they charged 120/- for this soup.

i will never be going to this place again. don't even wander in even by mistake!!

i came to this restaurant being super hungry at 4.30 am. they told me burgers and sandwiches are not available. so iordereda chinese chicken fried rice - ₹210. after about 30 mins they served a very bland fried rice with no salt and flavour and rice over boiled beyond consumption level. i showed them it's state and they had nothing to say. i was hungry and hence asked for green chilly sauce so that i can manage to eat it. unfortunately the steward comes back to say that they don't have green chilly sauce. i finally got some ketchup and managed to have the food.

the ambiance and music was good. i saw wide options of continental dishes in the menu and probably that's what they might be known for. if so, it's better to remove the very few chinese dishes in the menu as people might judge the restaurant based on the same if they order it.

also please ensure the cutlery is wiped well before sending it to the table.

i ended up here after a late night movie because no other place was open.
and i must say the food was terrible.

iorderedlasagna and i literally took out multiple spoonful of oil from it.

the fruit chiller iorderedhad ants in it.

moreover, the staff was rude and uninterested.
never going here again.

the place is just average. ambience is good, good for hangouts but service is not much proper. also food tasted bland. iorderedmexican chicken noodles, no salt, no vinegar.. though chicken burger was good. spaghetti was really disappointing too.

hadorderedin pasta, taste was good but they could improve on the quantity. that was the only disappointment. it would have been good to add a garlic bread or some accompaniment. over all an average experience. not sure if the place would be my 1st preference. there is room for improvement.. all the best 🙂
