been going there for over 10 years. same quality different prices but nowhere can you find a better chickpeas or chapli kabob or boneless chicken. be patient because everyone in town seems to end up there. many zagat reviews and crowds from all over. ate there every week for 9 months straight and looooooooove it still. if you like spicy try the karahi.

bad day?. hate to do it but this is another "mediocre at best" review. i ordered the palace combo for $18 (yes! $18!) and got chicken, lamb and dubideh (ground beef) kabobs. i honestly didn't care for it. if the whole combo was $8 then the mistakes would have been a little more tolerable but the naan style bread 50% soft and 50% tortilla chip, the meat was overcooked and over-spiced. the lamb was very chewy. the rice and the side of peas and potato was pretty good. i don't mind the kiosk style atmosphere and the service on foam and paper plates but again, $18? my rating would be 2/5 for flavor and 1/5 for value. sorry folks, i eat out a lot and was truly disappointed as i love this type of cuisine and was hoping for a nice meal based on other reviews.

seeing the rating we rushed to this place. the chicken tikka was pathetic. aloo palak was crap . only the chicken curry was average. the cheap buffet attracts crowd but absolutely big no to have good tasty food. will never go again .

a little chaotic ordering & grabbing seats but totally worth the wait. kabobs take longer so if you're on a timeline, better to order the daily specials. as soon as you order, scope out your possible seats. a dc native of afghani descent took us here the first time & showed us the ropes;it's right near reagan airport & open 24/7 so it's a perfect stop when you fly in at any time of day. get extra green sauce for the salad.

so it has all the placards from zagat to tripadvisor attesting to how great this place is, but let me tell you my own rating. i have travelled to a lot of places all over the world and specifically to regions that are famous for their kabob, but nothing comes close to "kabob palace" it's just superb. it's voted the best in the metropolitan dc area, but i would say it's the best in the world, yes i just said it's the best in the world!!!

good and authentic. these are the best kabobs i've had stateside and highly recommend if you want something a little different. not entirely that cheap (expect to spend ~$20 after entrée and drink per person) and has limited seating when busy, but it is extremely good and it is a lot of food for the price. kabobs are cooked to order (i.e., pulled out of the big display case when the order is placed) so don't expect "fast" food, but they do have call ahead take out. the standard sides (salad, rice, and chickpeas) are pretty weak except for the chickpeas...they are fantastic.

sit down while you wait for your lamb chop at kabob palace near washington’s reagan national airport, and you’ll see everyone from rental-car clerks to in-the-know pilots digging into curry at the 24-hour spot...
