romantic getaway. was extremely romantic. gave us complimentary champagne because we were celebrating an anniversary.foodwas absolutely worth the price. was a little noise, and dark. beware the menu is limited becasue it is farm to table. my new favorite go to restaurant.

small plates. inventivefoodand so very good. prices are reasonable!!! the four of us had soup and small plates, dessert and coffee. we'll be back.

great food, nice atmosphere, good service. this was my fourth visit to this restaurant. as always, it was a very enjoyable evening. the menu satisfied the highly varied tastes of my family. thefoodand service have always been excellent and the prices reasonable. i highly recommend john j. jeffries. the ability to make a reservation (and modify it to add a person) through urban spoon made reservations simple and added to the enjoyment.

waited too long to try this place!!. excellent service, excellent food. the atmosphere is relaxing. waiter was well versed in their selections. serving size was nice too! went here for our anniversary and turned out to be one of our best!! i had the duck, my wife had a filet.foodwas fresh and cooked perfectly! you'll be seeing us back at jjj!!!

go here for the small plates. i must admit....i've never had anything but their small plates.... and they are easily among the most creative and glorious bits offoodaround. the surf and turf appetizer (if you're into raw meat) will knock you over. the jim bim bop (a variation on a korean dish) is a joy every time. i love this place... love it love it love it.

my husband and i were looking for amazing, locally-sourcedfoodand impeccable service in a location for our wedding. we were completely thrilled with the food, the service (particularly kim and derek were incredible!), and the beautiful building was not only gorgeous for our pictures but made for the perfect setting for the celebration of our special day. the chefs and manager, ladan, were so accomodating in making our event perfect. the chef paired wines with our dinner selections. we were able to relax and enjoy our guests and the meal, which was most important to us. incidentally, our guests raved about the appetizers which includes chile rubbed steak tips, cornmeal fried oysters, and large sea scallops wrapped in bacon along with a selection of local cheeses. since it was february, the chef worked with us to plan the perfect soup for the season: we landed on butternut squash and bacon bisque. we are pretty sure bacon makes everything better! for our main course, we opted for a choice of steak or grilled chicken. everyone commented on how perfect both were! dessert was a choice of creme brulee or chef brian burton's chocolate cake with almond butter frosting.

from the beginning to the end of the evening, we enjoyed it all. if you're looking for incrediblefoodthat you know you can trust paired with flawless service, we highly recommend that you choose john j. jeffries for your special event. we are also looking forward to the next time we can enjoy dinner together there!

i have a mixed reaction to this place. the reception area was awkward. we stood, seemingly in everyone's way, while the two hosts were trying to solve the mystery of taking someone's reservation over the phone. thefooditself was ok. my shrimp and grits appetizer was delicious and complex, while my fiance's mushroom bisque was velvety and deep in flavor. however, our entrees were mediocre. his duck was fatty and my "pork" was actually not available, so i was given very masculine ribs, which our waiter failed to mention. dessert was pretty decent, but the best part of the experience was watching people try hard to look natural in the silver spoon setting.

best restaurant ever!!. hands down this is our favorite restaurant! thefoodis always amazing. i love it that when i leave i feel good and not bogged down like other places. the staff is always formal and friendly. i appreciate that they serve only local foods and fair trade coffees.

this is hands down one of "go to" places in lancaster. greatfoodand you know where it comes from and how it's grown!! the jim bim bop is so good as well as the tartar small plate or the more daring try "the truth." it's their large plate of tartar with a raw egg on top. don't be scared it is from free range grass fed happy chickens so endulge. nice microbeer selections that rotate and great cocktails. order the broomstreet, a traditional whiskey sour from chef cavanaughs grandmothers recipe. depending what is in season the pastry chef brian burton will be creating sweet treats and home made ice creams. the pumpkin creme brûlée in the fall is amazing and he also does a lavendar version when it is in bloom outside on their terrace. menu is always changing as it should be to use what's in season. i highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone! keep up the excellent work sean and michael!!

theirfoodpolitics may be a little weird at times, and they may be a little overly crunchy for some, and you can't get a sparkling water, but the cooking is really solid and the chefs make the best of lancaster's abundant seasonal produce. their main produce supplier is local tom culton, who is making a name for himself nationally as an organic farmer to celebrity chefs. you will eat well here, you will enjoy it, and you'll pay accordingly. also, great beer selection and fantastic mixed drinks.

i don't know if the prices declined since i've been there, but my fiancé and i ended up with a $120.00 bill. thefoodwas amazing but i dont remember any entree being less than $20. nonetheless, everything was melt in your mouth delicious.

the only thing more pretentious than being lectured that bottled water is not "organic" are the custom designed tobacco themed chairs in the lobby.foodis good, but as they say in the land of small plates, "no vale la pena"
