i had read about joey's pizza for years and years, but never had the opportunity once till recently.
and it had been totally worth the wait of years, the pizza is asgoodas a pizza gets, nothing comes close in my opinion.
a pizza that satisfies you completely and leaves you wanting for more!

i ordered 2 large pizzas today at 8.10 pm. after 3 more phone calls it finally got my pizzas at 10.30. 2 and a half hours for a pizza delivery is just too much howevergoodthe pizza may be. also they just take orders over phone. and phone lines are always busy. it takes about 15 mins minimum to connect if you are lucky. i ordered joey's pizza after a long time and i just realised why i stopped ordering in the first place.

i keep testing you with different orders my old faithful friend but you never fail me. quality of ingredients, quantity of ingredients, value for money, delivery service. variety of items, preparation style, every thing is top notch. the picture above is of the meat sandwich with mayonnaise, capsicums and onion and i think i have finally found your achilles heel :)

not that it is bad, the amount of ingredients is also very good. i think it is faltering in the sauce department. take the advice and introduce more options of sauces and cheese for these meat sandwiches other than mayonnaise.

the mayonnaise blunts the taste and does nothinggoodfor the sandwich. trust me, much like your pizza, the sandwiches will become hot sellers if you add more options of sauces, even a cream cheese sauce would go far better than the mayonnaise.

otherwise,goodjob as always 👍🏻

my go to place for pizza. its nothing like pizza hut and dominos. it’s very very different. i would like joey’s pizza over pizza hut and dominos.
about the food,it’s just delicious, yummy. i always have the butter chicken pizza. oh man the chesse that melts and they serve it really hot. once i literally burnt my mouth because i was so excited to try it but it was worth it man. it was so so good. the spices mixed, the chicken pieces it gave the really feeling of butter chicken when we have with roti or naan. its really best pizza in town.
the price for the pizzas is very cheap not like pizza hut or dominos.
but the place is crowded 24/7. so you have to wait for 45 mins max and the wait is worth.
the place isgoodn decent. it looks and the hygiene is okayyy.

one of the place which was included in my list. had heard 👂lot about this place for my friends. it’s located at a distance of 5 minuets⏰ from d.n nagar metro station🚝. you might just have to wait for an hour or two if you happen to visit this restaurant on a busy weekend evening, but anything for agood🍕 pizza?
we ordered
-cheese 🧀 sticks
-mexican bonanza
-mother’s recipe
-plain cheese 🧀
-corn🌽 exotica
in mother’s recipe they have options paneer tikka or schezwan with coriander. paneer was fresh and was prefectly cooked. pizza 🍕 are filled with lot of cheese and vegetables. they serve half and half pizza at the cost of one.
the ambience is not that great, the place is to small.
service is too slow. totally worth for pizza.

excellent pizza. i went here while waiting for a large order at the chinese food place next door. (don't judge me!) it was exceptionally good. i had the cheese pizza with white sauce by the slice. my cohort had peperoni. they were both excellent. they put the slices in the oven to get them crisp and hot. they came out perfect, lots of garlic on mine, and the sauces on both were very flavorful. i got both huge slices and a drink for 8 bucks. great deal. i'm glad i stopped in. the service could have been a little more courteous, but it wasgoodenough.

pizza with attitude. after one bite of the pizza i told joey behind the counter that i felt like a moron for not trying this place sooner. my daughter and i stopped in for a slice and a coke and i ended up with an added manhatten meatball sub with provolone. man, this food is authentic new york made by authentic new yorkers. they have a sizeable selection of pies ranging from a classic 24 inch for 22 bucks, to a more adventuresome white pizza with eggplant or ten other toppings. the first thing you notice when biting into the first slice is how crispy it is on the bottom of the crust...just perfect. then you realize these guys know how to balance the toppings with the sauce and cheese so that you get that great new york style pizza taste. i am banging my head that they have been here five years and i am just discovering them now. i was wearing my patriots' hat and felt a need to disclaim, before i ordered, that i love new york but i hate the jets. to which joey replied, "that makes two of us!" clearly, a giants fan. great people, reallygoodpizza and an interesting menu worth further exploring...i will be going back for more.

update: just went back for more at lunch two days ago and had freshly made pepperoni pizza with a friend. geez, this pizza is good. the sauce is flavorful and the balance of cheeses in proportion to the crust is excellent. one of my new "go to" places for a well-made, well-priced meal. oh...almost forgot, go bruins! ya gotta move on, right?

less than i expected. i dislike the chain pizza stores so i try to frequent the independent ones. being from chicago i have not found a great pizza in colorado yet. when i tried joey's i was hopeful but it fell short and i thought overpriced. i ordered a large pizza with sausage and green pepper and was charged $18.87 which i thought was a little high but ok if worth it. what i got was agoodsize pizza with very little toppings on it. the sausage & peppers were widely spaced and not even on a few pieces. so i really got a large cheese pizza (almost) for $18.87 which is too much. the sauce, crust and cheese wasgoodgood but not worth it with few toppings that i paid for. sorry, i hoping that i found a great pizza but i'll keep looking.

great pizza. its not as easy to find what i callgoodpizza after living many years in ny. joey's pizza isgoodpizza. its worth the price. i have been going here since they opened. if i had to find something wrong with this place it would be the toppings seemed to have gotten lighter since they originally opened.. but to be honest i can easily overlook this being the pizza is so damn good!! :) go get some you wont be disappointed.

in a word... awesome. it was my wife's birthday and we had heard about joey's at church so we went. they let me call ahead and place our order before we got there (which was sweet considering we have a 10 month old and didn't want to wait). i always love independent non chain restaurants and haven't had luck finding one on the north side of the springs let alone a pizza place. the staff was incredibly friendly the food was unbelievablygoodand they sell individual slices!!! we ordered an 18" fugedabodit and some cheese garlic bread and loved it. when they brought it out it was hot and they even offered to slice a piece up into small squares for the baby (which i let them do) and she loved it too.

when choosing to go here don't be scared by the independent factor, just take the plunge and try something new i promise you'll enjoy it.

also someone commented on the decor and people not being what they are on the site... they are exactly the same, the graffiti is on a wall in the back and the guy in the picture was the one who served us the pizza.

thanks joey's we will be back.

sicilian pizza was the best.. i believe i've finally exhausted all of my new york style pizza places in colorado springs after ordering joey's last night. here are some of my thoughts:

with out of town family coming in, we needed to feed the 5 of us. we decided that one sicilian pizza and one 18" pizza would do it (we were right). i ordered pick-up and had a vague idea of where it was.goodthing i had gps though, because the tint on the window was so dark and the neon sign was so dim (p.s. vinyl signs do not show up in the dark) that i wouldn't have been able to tell what this place was, let alone if it was open. if joey's pizza ever goes out of business, it's because people don't know it exists.

so anyway, from the pictures they have on their website, this place looked totally different in person. where is the cool graffiti on the walls and where are the italians with slicked back hair and large blingy crosses hanging from their necks? this place was staffed by typical coloradoans, shucks.

so we took our $45 worth of pizzas home, a sicilian "the stallion" and an 18" new york style mushrooms, sausage and artichoke hearts. when we got back home, we all dug in immediately. right off the bat, the sicilian was a big hit. i'm unsure of any other place in town, excluding pizza hut, that still offers this style? but the crust was amazing. perfectly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. the sauce was plentiful and the toppings were piled high (see my picture). the meats were excellent and everything went together. happily, the pizza was not as salty as i was preparing myself for, which allowed me to not wake up in the middle of night searching for a gallon of water. everyone agreed, the sicilian pizza was king.

as for the 18", it had mixed reviews. the crust looked like it was going to be a flimsy dough-fest. but in fact, it turned out to be perfect. it had a perfect mixture of chewy and crispy that was better than a comparable boriello brothers pizza. the sauce, however, was non-existant. i don't know why there was no sauce on it (once again, see picture to see if you can spot any), but i was having flashbacks of the absolutely terrible pizza i had at leon gessi's. luckily, the toppings saved it somewhat with the sausage being the standout taste winner. this is not chunky chunks of sausage like pizza hut/dominos/little caesars uses, this is like a strained sausage slice that spread thinly on the slice, but was everywhere giving you the illusion of sausage in every bite.

so there you have it, sicilian style pizza that is tops in this town, a new york style that needs to be ordered with "extra sauce" and you have yourself a place that can still go to bat with the big boys.

ny pizza. i grew up in queens village, ny during the 60's and early 70's. gaby's pizza is still the best ever! but joey's is verygoodalso. the cheese, bread, toppings are all ny standard, except the sauce. we get very light on our pizza because it is to acidy.

verygoodpizza!

my second review. i wrote one review before where we went in sat down and tried the pizza slices...tonight i ordered delivery from joey's for the 2nd time...i was concerned about ordering anything else but pizza since their pizza is so amazing, i wasn't sure the rest could stack up. boy was i wrong! i ordered a calzone with pepperoni and a meatball sub...even after ordering i was still doubting i made the right decision by not ordering pizza...i am not a big fan of meatball subs...and it was a suggestion of the person who took my order when i asked her opinion of a few different options. man was i glad she suggested that one...it was honestly the best sub i have ever had in my life! the calzone was delicious too!!! dare i say asgoodor better than the pizza (which i didn't think was possible!). seriously you have to try the meatball sub!!!!!!!!!!!! the customer service was excellent as well, as we had a little issue with the delivery...i have to say at the end of the day they satisfied all criteria of a local owned place and left me completely happy with food and service! which isn't the easiest to do when you have an irritated 8 month pregnant lady and her crabby and hungry 2 year old waiting on food!
thanks joey's
we're fans!
