we had dinner here with a group. there wasn't much parking, which was fine. the place was clean and tidy. some of the staff were quite standoffish and quiet, but they were mostly nice. the food was lacking quite a bit. this was my first experience at a joe's garage, but i'd heard mixed reviews from a broad range of people. my vege burger was not very nice, and you expect a bit more when you're paying almost $20 for a burger. the patty was mush and just fell apart like mashed potatoes, and the only other things in the burger were some dry looking red onions, a rib part of some iceberg lettuce (which was very bitter, as are all the thick rib parts in lettuce), and a couple slices of unripe tomatoes. the green tomato chutney was good though. my chips were severely over seasoned and salty. my husband will eat anything, and even he said they were too salty. such a pity, as i wanted to like the food.
we likely won't be returning again.
