a coworker of my hubby's recommended we spend our next date night at jimmy's famous american tavern. ..so we did! located in the promenade at point loma in san diego, california, jimmy's famous american tavern is agreatcasual restaurant right on the water. my first libation was a "must-have" recommendation called the strawberry ginger deluxe consisting of vodka, ginger liqueur, strawberry juice right from the strawberry, some lemon juice, bitters and champagne (the terrific bartender read off the ingredients to me so i hope i remembered them all). although the drink presented in front of me was beyond gorgeous, and looked too pretty to touch, i was not a fan of the taste. the ginger liqueur was way too strong for my palate. however, the recommender of the drink spoke very highly of it saying it was one of the best drinks she has ever had
