such a royalty/ fine dining experience especially with such soothing aesthetics and love all the color combinations used for this place.

i could go on about the decor but the location is also so easy to find and also at a prime spot.

but that’s not the best part.

best part is always the food.

northindianand southindianvarieties all in one place and they have tweaked the recipes for everyone’s enjoyment; desis and emiratis as well.

that is what i loved the most.

i’ve visited here twice and the vegetarian and the non vegetarian items are just amazing and you would not be disappointed at all.

the most refreshing drink i had was the rose lemonade and it would be hard for me to try any other on the menu unless you force me to.

what would you do if you were invited to dine with royalty ?

don’t know about you but i took on the opportunity and the experience was absolutely incredible ! 💚 thankyou @excel for the invite, we had a fabulous time.

this brand new restaurant where you will experience delectableindiancuisine in mankhool is called @jehangirs . it is inspired by the garden of the jehangirs palace from the moghul era.

every single detail at this gorgeous restaurant speaks royalty, from their napkin, cutlery, glasses they even intricately crafted golden tree in the center of the restaurant.

their menu is uniquely crafted with dishes specially curated that you wouldn’t find elsewhere , something from every region in india, exclusive only to them.
we tasted some of their best sellers -
appetizers
🌟jalebi chaat
🌟 murg patta
🌟 khari methi chaman
🌟jhol momos
mains
🌟kathal masala
🌟haleem with condiments
🌟ras omelette curry
🌟dum biryani
🌟mushroom pulao
🌟 assorted parathas
dessert
🌟shahi banana toast

everything was spectacular , beautifully presented , freshly made and a delight to taste !

what you will experience is a true royal mughlai cuisine inspired by the culinary delights from the mughal era🌹

a royal feast with impeccable presentation and innovative recipes makes the perfect restaurant menu
@jehangirs.restaurant recently opened at mankhool has got it all right…
sample this who would have thought of dishes like
jalebi chaat
mushroom and edamame quinoa crusted koftas
murgh patta - chicken wrapped in a leaf
subz haleem (generally haleem is non veg, but this veg version came with so many condiments)
with a very regal and rich ambiance….befitting the name of mughal emperor jehangir…it’s value for money food which has just the fusion of variedindiancuisines from bengali to goan to hyderabadi
the zafrani jhinga, parsi inspired keema ghotala are some of the other dishes we tried….
what i really liked is the murgh makhan masala - the chicken had the options of 2 gravies - the butter chicken with a sweeter taste and the tomato masala which was tangier….
ending the meal with the most innovative dessert
banana shahi toast - warm banana cake and rabri milk served with vanilla ice cream and foxnut crumble
who could have thought of banana cake in a desi avatar 😍
highly recommended for a royal feast with fusion of flavours and presentation which is a class apart!

if you’re looking for a great experience of flavours from all over india served in a unique style with an impressive ambience then check out @jehangirs.restaurant in mankhool. the restaurant will delight you with its mughal paintings and art deco styling. quite the mash-up.

the mocktails were surprisingly great. i liked the naariyal delight (dh 22) with flavours of coconut and cardamom. i recommend trying the jalebi chaat (dh 18) which sounds strange but tastes really good and the murgh patta (dh 29) which is a medley between eastern andindianflavours.

try the daab chingri (dh 49) a bengali curry with coconut and shrimps served inside a coconut. the murg makhan masala (dh 34) is a must-try because you get butter chicken and chicken tikka masala on the same plate cooked to perfection. both go really well with butter garlic naans.

to finish you can have a scrumptious malai pista kulfi (dh 15) that has a wonderfully dense texture plated very differently from any other kulfi i've had.

jehangir's is inexpensive for the type of food and service you get. i'll definitely be going back soon.

a restaurant with colorful & vibrant ambiance having stunning paintings & elegant interiors. jehangirs restaurant truly offers a royal experience reflecting mughals luxurious lifestyle, along with authentic rich flavors of royal mughal cuisine.

they have an innovative & vast menu featuring food items that you would truly enjoy. i tasted many items from the menu & the best ones were (starters) - 𝐉𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐢 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐚𝐭 & 𝐒𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐡 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐛, both were tasty. their jalebi chaat was an interesting new concept for me and i really enjoyed it. for main course - 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐡 𝐍𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐦𝐢 & 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐢 were my favorites. murgh nizami was an aromatic chicken curry with a distinctive flavorful taste, i would certainly recommend it.

there desserts were too good, particularly 𝐊𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐢 was just extraordinary.

all the items were wonderfully presented & the portion size was decent enough to be shared between 2-3 people.

do check out this place for a royalindianfood experience.

jehangir's restaurant offers one of the best experiences of the mughlai cuisines and the best cuisines of all over india under one menu. the delectable variety of food will make you drool over it for sure.

here's what i had :

🔸️jalebi chaat .. a unique experience of jalebi with in house chutneys, boiled potato, smoked pineapple and lots of flavours to love ❤

🔸️patta chicken was inspired by the southindiancuisine worth trying

🔸️murgh malai afghani tikka was amazing

🔸️for the main course we had keema ghotala in a parsi style presentation

🔸️murgh makkhan masala was the best one

🔸️mutton dum biryani was served in a traditional claypot

🔸️drinks : amazonian bird nest and smokey almond lassi are worth trying.

🔸️banana malai toast is highly recommended as the dessert and the chocolate mousse just melts in the mouth.

jehangirs turned out to be a surprisingly good experience today. we walked in during a weekday, not expecting much to be honest. the restaurant claimed mughlai food but the menu looked all over the place. so the assumption was it will be regularindianfare. but it was anything but regular stuff. we ordered the following-

1. jalebi chaat. interesting, different. but it was my least favourite dish of all. i would have preferred the dish other way round. sweet jalebi and less sweet sauces and chaat inside..because the jalebi did not have syrup, it just tasted like a tough murukku. not bad, but not what i expected.

2. amazonia- excellent drink. looked pretty as a picture. tasted amazing

3. kozhi ularthiyathu- noway i could pronounce that. but it was the dish of the day. probably one of the best chicken dishes i have tasted till date. with air light crushed paratha.

4. lucknowi murg biryani. - not the completely authentic awadhi stuff from my childhood in lucknow, but close. and a great dish in itself.

we were too full for dessert. the complimentary papad platter served and a paneer tikki for tasting had taken care of any residual appetite. they ended our meal with a beautiful pot of some hot tea which smelled and tasted delicious. and all this for just about 130 aed. fabulous experience. definitely heading there again

dinner with friends
27 november 2021 - saturday

3 of us, reached around 4.00 pm - we did not have any reservations, but we were seated promptly.
we had 1 vegetarian friend in our group.

an impressive setting from the start, amazing ambience interiors, set in classyindianmaharaja style! but we’re all about the food!

our order was:

jalebi chaat
rajma chawal aranchini
kheema ghotala
matka mutton curry
murgh makhan masala
subz haleem
navratan pulav
bird nest
coconut delight
tandoori rotis
chocolate mousse
black tea

starters - jalebi chaat and the rajma chawal aranchini, great to start off, but the hero starter was the kheema ghotala – an easy 10/10

mains - our vegetarian friend subz haleem, which was served with a variety of spices and was wonderfully put together. the mutton masala and the navratan pulao were delicious and went very well alongside each other.
the hero for me was the murgh makhan masala, served uniquely in 2 halves, which come together in a supreme explosion of taste. i could have had one entire serving just by myself. highly recommend, and a 10/10

our drinks were - the birds nest and the coconut delight, both amazingly presented - a treat for the eyes as well.

i would also like to make a comment on the presentation of each dish, even though i am all about taste, a well-presented dish is a treat for the eyes and is a good sign of things to come!

for dessert, we ordered the chocolate mousse - and it's sufficient to say that no patron should leave the restaurant without a taste of this treat. the chef has kept it simple and real, a rare occurrence in restaurants these days, and a no-nonsense dessert at the end of a good meal seals the deal - an easy 10/10

finally, a cup of wonderful black tea with mint, and we couldn't have asked for a better evening.

also, here i would like to mention the manager, mr swapnil, and our servers, suyog and surinder, who were great with their recommendations, friendliness and upbeat attitude. they kept good pace with the serving, got our orders customized, and were attentive to our table all evening.

it’s such a personal pleasure to have someone take care of our experience with the food, by being enthusiastic about the suggestions and taking the time to patiently explain what would go with what. they truly made the experience memorable with their friendly attitude and regular checkups.

the food was extremely delicious, and we were served within a reasonable waiting time.

all in all, a great experience. i would recommend this place 100%

my scorecard:

food quality: 10/10
food variety: 10/10
service: 10/10
atmosphere: 10/10
value for money: 10/10

would go back 10/10 – to try out 2 more of the menu specials – some of the tawa items and maybe a few of the drinks?
