awesome! i really enjoyed thefoodand atmosphere! the authentic jamaican cuisine was excellent; it had a nice presentation and was very filling and i had enough to take some home! then the intimate environment made it fun! i thoroughly enjoyed my evening with the jamaican me crazy family! definitely worth stopping in!

thefoodwas really good! i came in hungry and left stuffed! the place is quaint. unfortunately it took 2 hours before we received our food. we went for valentine's day this year. there was a live singer, so i was super excited to take my husband. unfortunately the singer was not as talented as i hoped and the speakers were too loud for the small place. overall, i would go back, but i'd have to eat a snack first.

my what a difference a year makes!

nearly a year ago my husband and i stumble across this hidden jewel. i had the curry goat, so delicious and flavorful, i decided to visit charleston again. however, this time it was a let down. the rice and peas tasted as if it could have been under cooked. the curry chicken was lacking the flavor of last years curry. the brown stew chicken a bit too sweet. each entree seemed to have a watery base, as opposed to the thicker bases of last year. the flavor of thefoodwas mundane and bland. i miss thefoodof last year that made such an impression on me. jamaican me hungry, was more like jamaican me disappointed!

extremely tasty jamaican food!. this place, while it is great for lunch, seems to be especially nice for a dinner date. very intimate setting, and then thefoodand service are exemplary also. i had the jerk chicken, and it was on par with the best that i have tasted. take your date or spouse, and expect to be well fed. *note, you may want to call in advance for dinner, as thier are not many tables. the ambiance makes you feel that you have left the country. 5 stars on the tastiness! oh, and for now no alcohol; but you can get that anywhere nearby.

tourists may like it. as c.... tourists may like it.
as charleston's only jamaican restaurant, jamaican me hungry isn't bad. pros:foodwas plentiful and tasty. ambiance was on the cute side of funky & intimate. service was attentive. cons: thefoodis sc jamaican ..far from expectations..one of the dishes was too spicy for a fellow diner ..when we asked fir extra plantains @ dough boys we got them..at full retail (a bit of bad form). prices were high end but thefoodwas not..jmh has a bit of an identity problem there..
bottom line: don't regret going but for the $ there are better alternatives
