jalapenos mexican grill

horrible staff. my wife and i like the food alright so we eat there every so often. multiple times i've called to order take out and been put on hold. not even, "can you hold please?" they just said hang on dude and put down the phone for 10 minutes while i can hear them waiting on all the drunks at the bar. i dk if their too cheap to hire more people or just rude but they lost a customer

the food here sucks....the prices were good and so was the service, but what's the point if the food u get is tasteless?

i think the managment is doing a great job and the wait staff that left left at the same time the old managment left. the staff there now is fast and hard working. the food is great and the margaritas are awesome. even over the change in managment the new manager seems to have more personality and talk more to the customers. also seen him cleaning off tables never really seen a manager do that.

best dine-in mexican restaurant in pooler. my favorite is the molcajete. i took my sister (visiting from out of town) and she ordered it to and agrees it is phenominal. it is a stew served in a hot stone bowl and has shrimp, steak and chicken. it comes with tortillas to make tacos and i recommend getting the rice/beans/guacamole that can be provided on the side. it is large and could be shared with two. i always take leftovers home. i would not have ordered this based on the menu picture but i was sold when i tried it when my friend ordered it. it is the only dish i eat when at jalapenos now! my wife ordered the texas fajita nachos for her main course which was also good. they are topped with steak and nacho cheese. i also always go for a margarona which is a margarita with an upside corona beer added. very delicious. there are two jalapenos locations in pooler and this one (near lowes) is the larger one and is a bit quieter. it's the better one in our opinion.

jalapeños has great authentic mexican food. the service is about average and the atmosphere is loud. this is a fun place to take kids. great happy hour.

meh. local chain in savannah-bluffton-pooler area. run of the mill mexican restaurant with nothing special to recommend it. speedy with beans, por favor.

okay, visited jalapenos the other day and they appear to have upped their game. very good tacos carne asada. revised and enhanced menu looks promising. will give it a few more tries over the summer.

today was the second time (out of the last three visits) that i've sent my food back for the same request that i made sure was heard by the waitstaff before the order was sent to the kitchen. whether or not the menu specifies that a certain dish is served with sour cream, i always ask to have it omitted, and today's waitress repeated the order (which she did not write down) before she put it in and then sounded as if it was news to her that the order came out wrong.

soso. i figured to stray from my usual spot just to give it a try and see the difference but it was a bad choice on my part. jalapenos staff does not focus on their customers very well they dont give you that personal experience the food didnt even make up for the service i recieved im just going to stick with my cancuns right down the street they know exaclty what i want!

bad chili pablanos. my husband and i have now gone to two jalapenos locations and both times the items i ordered were raw in the center and had to be put back under the salamander. the location in pooler didn't even deep fry the chili pablanos so the batter was raw and mooshy. when i asked them to re-fry the dish they just microwaved it and it was still mooshy and slimy. the waiter even tried to make us pay for it when i ate half a bite. my husbands combo was also luke warm but at least it was cooked and rather bland for a mexican dish. we will not be eating there again.
