jak's grill

great steaks. always busy (agoodthing). large portions, so go easy. great bar & bar staff, make great cocktails and keep it fun. only ding is that it isn't a great kids menu, but then again it isnt really a kid place.

one dish not spectular but usually very good. almost time i am there it is verygoodbut on the menu. they have sweet southern steak hash (first time to have it). i guess it is a supposed to a manager's favorite. i did not find it fantastic. it was something was the honey sauce or whatever it was on the plate-not great. seasoning was off. the little peppers really did not add much. it needed something like some mushrooms or seasoning. the potatoes and biscuit was good. some staff talked in loud voices about private work situations and banged down dishes and cups. i think a little more smoothness and appropriate sound would be appropriate for that environment.

1.5hr wait and no reservations? ? really?? ridiculous. figure out agoodreservation system and get it. this is absurd. there are a lot better restaurants out there where i don't have to wait this long, with way better food.

horrified!!. went to jak's in issaquah for a dinner meeting because i heard the food was increditble! was not informed of the no seat until all the people in the party have arrived policy until it was too late. however the extremely rude and disrespsectful hostess had zero problem letting us know about their "policies". this just started what would be follwed by without a doubt the worst service i have ever experienced in my 36 years of being alive. i can honestly say that i have never written a review in my life but after my experience at this joke of an establishment has left me no choice but to tell my story and hopefully i can save the next sucker from coming in and contributing to a company that truly has no clue how to deliver proper customer service! i think because the restaraunt is located in a small town there is a sense of arrogance that comes along with the idea that you are the best thing in town (obviously far from reality). after oredering appetizer myself and the party of 8 business men and women gave the menus back to our server and we were asked "so your all just ordering appetizers?" again as rude of a comment as i have ever heard at a place with the prices and expectations of this place.. we explained to her "no we are ordering food but we have decided what we would like to have". still kicking myself for not leaving right that very minute. the food, once it finally arrived was undercooked (no i did not get asked to cut into my 60 dollar piece of meat to make sure it was cooked to my specifications) but i did not send it back as the time it took to arrive was simply ridiculous. after eating our meal and being neglected by even sizzler standards we made our final mistake!! we ordered desert which would end up taking another 45 minutes to arrive!! the simple truth is i am a very busy guy not just at work but at home and the reason i am writing this review is to hopefully save the next group of people interested in dining at this place to truly think again. i do not get time to myself often and i can truly say that dining at this place did nothing but ruin my mood!! i wish i could take the $900 dollars i foolishly donated to a company i have no desire to return to. i pray that the terrible service comes back on this place ten fold as their attitude and demeanor just simply do not cut it. hopefully people start realizing that despite what jak"s thinks there are tons of reallygoodsteakhouses out there with similar prices that would treat a party such as mine like gold and in our economy hopefully jak's can learn what true customer service really means.. as big a thumbs down as can be possible!!!

steak dinner 3/3112. for a specialty steak house my meal was disappointing. i had the chef's specialty, top sirloin, and it was extremely tough. couldn't chew or cut through it. they bought me some drinks to make up for it, but i didn't go there for the drinks. i was seeking agoodsteak. will not return. i get better meat at fred meyer....seriously.

good but not great. we enjoyed our food for the most part but it wasn't as tasty as i expected or the price indicated. it isgoodenough though that i'm sure we can find a set of dishes that will please each time.

mixed review...... the place is too small... difficult to get into.... one must show up at 400pm to 430pm in order to possibly be seated.... it is overpriced in my opinion..... however.... the food isgoodand the garlic mashed potatoes are heavenly!!!!

darnedgoodmeat. i think this may supplant daniels as my favorite steakhouse....i know there are arguments for the best steakhouse in seattle and whatever you do, don't leave jaks out of the discussion. its more homey, welcoming and all around fun than the other big ones. less pricey too....i've found the issaquah location tough to get into but have never had a problem with the seattle location....go to jaks. have a steak, and a nice bottle of vino and tell em, joey sent me in....

breakfast-yummy. the best bloody mary i have ever had. the potatoe pancakes make any breakfast here a real treat, sogoodi drive from everett for them.

favorite issaquah place!. one of my favorite steak houses period. alwaysgoodfood - they do need to start taking reservations though! we have shown up only to find a 2 hour wait many times.

if u have kids forget about it!. the service is so slow!. we had to wait forever,but not only our table because everybody around had to wait too. if u have kids forget about it.
the food isgoodbut nothing special, so it is no worth it to wait for so long.

show up early or late!. great steaks! these guys rival the met or el gaucho's for steak, no kidding. the only issue is the restaurant is so small if you show up during peak hours you will be waiting for a table for awhile.

a don't try to show up with more than 7 people, they will absolutely refuse to move a table or 2 together to accommodate your part.

a bit of ego on their part, they know they aregoodso they won't do too much to help out parties that need a little extra assistance. maybe it's just the seating folks that are like this.

that being said, if you finally do get a table, you will get great service and a great meal.

eat at the bar. locals have some secrets that we can't share.

one that we can - you can get in and eat off the regular menu at the bar.

take a nice cab with the crab cakes; finish up with a port and the bread pudding.

food isgood- actually pretty excellent - the line can be long.

overpriced. my friend and i recently had an early dinner here. i had the dry aged new york and he had the ribeye.
the steaks seemed to be cooked perfect medium rare and tastedgoodbut lacked the flavor i was planning on. with a salad, side, and a couple soft drinks, we were in the $100 range. for a few bucks more, we could have gone to capital grill, or morton's and had a 'big league' steak.

final verdict: small town steakhouse, small town taste, big city price. save your money and head into the city.

best steak house. forget daniel's broiler, the met or ruth chris' if you just wantgoodfood this is the place. we have never been disappointed at jak's grill in issaquah. we've noticed their prices inching up a bit which is unfortunate but it does not take away from the quality of their food.

everything is wonderful from the bread to the salad to the steaks which are cooked perfectly and the sauces are a wonderful enhancement. we will be back to jak's grill.
