jackie's ham & eggs

service is non-existent. i tried to place a call-inorderand was asked to hold. then whoever answered the phone(voice of a younger girl) must have put the phone in her apron because i could hear several conversations as they walked thru the restaurant. i waited 20 minutes before i drove to over while still on my cell phone. once i arrived i walked in and stood at the counter for 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged i was there. it was a guy trying to seat me. i told him i was the one trying to place a call in order. he told a waitress i was there and went away. once someone actually stopped long enough to ask what i needed. i told them i was the one that had been on the phone in someones pocket listening to everything in there for 20 minutes before driving in. said sorry but was too busy to stop and take an order. she asked another waitress if they could take theorderbut they told her they were also too busy. told me she would be with me in a minute. i left. i have been going to this restaurant for years but have noticed that jackie doesn't come in anymore. i think she needs to come in and see what this has turned into. the good food and service is getting worse every time i come in. so, i'm done. too many other places to eat now that offer better. was much different when there weren't many other choices. too bad. the mighty have fallen..... so sorry, i just read that jackie passed in 2007. that would explain why this isn't the same as it was. need to take her name off of it. it does her an injustice.

poooor service...big food not the biggest flavor. service is horrible. tried to place anorderby phone and was forgotten about by margaret each time. was placed on hold and waited 35 mins while she had a conversation with someone that i heard entirely. i went in and she didn't care and offered no apology and arrogantly asked what i wanted. the customer even apologized! neither the service is nor food is consistent. sorta gotta cross your fingers that you could get watery grits or a weird tasting waffle. i went a few times because it was close and i work from home but its now a wrap for me. go ahead and go. just cross your fingers.

cold food/poor service. went into this place because we are new to the area. i will not be going back. we was never greeted walking in and when the server came we didn't understand him and he didn't understand us.orderfrench toast and an omelet. french toast was good,but the eggs was cold like they had been sitting out for like 6 minutes.my husband food was good. service was ok but should have been better.

nothing but value and really good food. today was a first-time visit and we were pleasantly surprised. friendly staff and food was very good. never had to ask for more coffee or water, which i really appreciated. i made a change midstream in theorderand it was made without any qualms or hassle. we had one of their fab and huge biscuits with wonderful sausage gravy, a sausage and cheese omelet, and cinnamon bun french toast. tasty, and, of course, very filling. reasonable prices and very good food make ham & eggs a winner in our book.

did not need to eat again til late. i'm a big fan of pancakes/flapjacks and when myorderarrived i was amazed.
lucky for my digestive system i decided on not ordering as much as i might do since what i had did me in for most of the rest of the day. if i'd not given any thought to it i may have had the cakes and biscuits with gravy, a combination that may have left me immobile for some time.
the staff were scary in how well they handled the customers and they treated me very well despite the fact i'm 340lbs and was dressed in black leather.
the pancakes were quite good and the potatoes were tasty.
