great atmosphere,greatbeer and food (mostly) - was very disappointed with the chips and onion rings sides which were drenched in oil (very literally) as it arrived and as we'd bitten into it. my son ordered the chips and i ordered the onion ring sides but neither of us could finish our burgers as we'd felt so sick from the excessive oil intake. i was intending to stick around for a few more brewskies after the meal but this too was cut short by this unfortunate incident. my partner had the roast veg which was great-tasting and well presented...guess we'd just chosen the wrong side(s). though i would suggest a quality check on these 2 sides, as i would imagine them to be quite popular menu items.

we happened upon jack black by chance and purely from doing a zomato search! what agreatfind. this was just perfect for a laid-back sunny saturday afternoon.
the atmosphere was vibey with agreatlive band and the service was super friendly. the food going past us looked mouthwatering so i really can’t wait to return to try it.
it might be pretty far from where i live but i will most certainly be returning for what is sure to be agreattime!

i had been so excited to finally get to jack black but wow i was so disappointed! probably the worst burger i've ever eaten...and completely overpriced for what it is...small and mine was accompanied by a greasy uncooked chips. service is okay but we walked in and stood around for a bit before anyone even noticed us. i had the atlantic weiss beer which wasgreatthough. nice to know you're dining at the brewery but it definitely needs some vibe...otherwise it just feels like you're dining in one big empty hall.

although we were convinced we were driving into a purely industrial area, we were pleasantly surprised to find the jack black tasting room/restaurant. it has a reallygreatfeel to it, very cool decor and ambience and a nice outdoor seating area. we didn't eat but the food that we saw looked really good! the beer wasgreatand the service was perfectly good. there is also a shop for you to buy merchandise and takeaway beer.

i go here quite often, but when jack black removed their falafel option ( which sucks cause it rocked), i decided to try their only other veggie option: a burger. i've had some terrible veggie burgers at other places, but the beer here is so damn good (and reasonably priced if you see some craft prices in ct) that i was willing to try out their burger.

the burger was great. really tasty, and it came with a coleslaw which was fresh and not soaked in mayo.

the space they have built is beautiful. it's agreatplace to go for drinks with friends, and fridays they have live music.

i have to say again how good the beer is. the butcher's block is a favourite, but every other beer is good in its own right.

agreatspot to visit with a group - live music adds the most awesome atmosphere to this very casual but exciting place. the food, although not much variety, was so good! nothing like beer tasting and a good burger or hotdog to make for a fun time.  also make sure to book for a brewery tour - the guide was informative and passionate, and wasgreatto hear the ins and outs of craft beer making!

agreatvenue to kick back after a long busy week at work. a brewery well-known for their craft beers where they experiment with different styles and flavours.

the atmosphere is relaxed with indoor and outdoor seating with food trucks serving delicious food. nothing like live entertainment to keep the vibe alive.

jack rabbit food truck offers various menu items and where gourmet street food is paired with craft beer to wash down the rich flavours of the food. i opted for the delicious and tender pulled pork - slow cooked pork shoulder, micro slaw, sriracha sauce, louisiana cajun and smoked barbeque sauce. for something different the jack rabbit buns are branded. agreatburger withgreatbeer - definitely worth it!

there is no doubt that craft beer is loved by capetonians and there is nothing like sipping on a refreshing cold beer, soak up the sun and watch the world go by.
