great options, high cost. my wife and i have come here many times, but this review is for the most recent visit. as always, the options are fantastic for vegetarians, vegans, and those with other dietary restrictions. on this trip, i ordered the special entree, which was crusted tempeh over a bed of a quinoa-sweet potato mixture and wilted kale. my wife ordered the taco salad, which ion was able to make vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free. we also split an order of the sweet potato fries, which are a must-have!
the food was all pretty good, but i'm not sure it's quite worth the price. over the last few years, the prices have gone up a considerable amount. granted, a vegetarian/vegan restaurant is going to be more expensive than a "typical" restaurant. but we have actually stopped going to ion as much as we used to because of the price (and that's saying a lot, since there are very fewgoodvegetarian options in connecticut).
our service was good, the ambiance outside is very nice, and we're excited to check it out after the move!
