love this place! i now live in south carolina but everytime i come home to visit i always come here! food is great, i've never been disappointed!

excellent food! great staff!. ion has a great menu including appetizers, salads, entrees, fresh juice, smoothies, and amazing vegan desserts. the portions are huge - i always end up taking some home for the next day. the staff is warm and friendly and willing to answer any questions. outdoor dining is available. a huge parking lot is available in the back.

not too many great vegan joints, hence the place is always full. amazing clean vegan joint, clean décor, great service, slightly on the higher side.
especially like their quesadilla , southern fried tofu, southern plate.

if you seek vegan, eat here. amazing food, great staff, lovely atmosphere. we had lunch, wine, and dessert. what a fabulous experience. i will come back, again, and again, and again.

great vege burger. ion burger is great, along with the sweet potatoe fries and the house-made ketchup.

delish!!. i have been here numerous times, at both locations. the selection is always unique with plenty of options. i've been with multiple meat-eaters and they've all enjoyed the food and atmosphere. the servers are friendly and give the best recommendations.

great options, high cost. my wife and i have come here many times, but this review is for the most recent visit. as always, the options are fantastic for vegetarians, vegans, and those with other dietary restrictions. on this trip, i ordered the special entree, which was crusted tempeh over a bed of a quinoa-sweet potato mixture and wilted kale. my wife ordered the taco salad, which ion was able to make vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free. we also split an order of the sweet potato fries, which are a must-have!

the food was all pretty good, but i'm not sure it's quite worth the price. over the last few years, the prices have gone up a considerable amount. granted, a vegetarian/vegan restaurant is going to be more expensive than a "typical" restaurant. but we have actually stopped going to ion as much as we used to because of the price (and that's saying a lot, since there are very few good vegetarian options in connecticut).

our service was good, the ambiance outside is very nice, and we're excited to check it out after the move!

i've eaten there 3 times within the last few weeks. i am a vegan with a 6'4 230lb carnivorous husband and we are both so glad we discovered this restaurant before we have to move back home to canada. satisfying for both of us. delicious food and drink and very cute and quaint atmosphere.

adorable little hippie restaurant with an outdoor patio though the menu is a bit conservative. i ordered the mushroom lentil soup (the special of the day) which was hearty and delicious. also ordered the "tribute" meal which is like a sample platter and couldn't resist the sweet potato fries (yes i ordered this much food by myself, but everything sounded so good). pierogies were a little plain and fries could have been cooked a little longer but all in all i was quite satisfied

you don't have to be a vegetarian to love this place. the food is fabulous.

one of the best healthy restaurants outside of nyc. i've been to nyc, and tried several healthy, vegetarian eateries....and it's only natural, (or ion, as it's abbreviated) is one of the best outside of the city!

i first discovered the place in 2006, and have returned every time i am near hartford.

the sweet potato enchiladas are one of the best menu items, and very filling. this past trip, i had a the cajun caesar salad, which had fried cajun tempeh strips on top. for an appetizer, we had the hummus, which was delicious. we split the macrobiotic plate, which is huge and comes with brown rice, steamed vegetables, beans, and seaweed. it was so big we had to take the other half to go!

highly recommend this place; the food is fantastic, they use local produce whenever possible, and the staff is friendly....what more could you want?

very good. i had an expiring groupon so my wife and i decided to have lunch on a sunday afternoon. the restaurant was not overly busy, but a notice on the specials menu indicated they were short of help. we decided to dine inside due the uncertainty of the weather though the patio was very inviting.

my wife chose the tempeh crab' cakes: with caesar dressing, sautéed garlic greens & sweet potato fries which proved to be a winner. my sweet potato enchilada: with molé rojo sauce, beans, brown rice, onion, tomato & cheese was equally delicious. all the ingredients were amazingly fresh. we also enjoyed unsweetened peach tea.

overall, i thought prices were almost as high as the quality. i would not hesitate on returning, but would want some form of discount.

great sunday brunch. my friend and i went here last sunday for brunch. she got the veggie scramble wrap and i got the vegan pancakes with rasberry sauce, tempe bacon, soy scrambled eggs and a "dirty" chai tea. awesomely awesome! it's only natural is delicious food in a nice, laid back atmosphere (and the wait staff is so cool and friendly).
