fantastic. just ordered from this quaint resturant and was blown away by their food. it was perfect. so glad you all bought that place it was just going to waste, having managed it over 13 years ago. good for you!! we will be back.

what a pleasant treat for lunch. it is what it is, a red sauce italian comfort food place with no 'pretense'. there is no need to deconstruct their offerings, just enjoy! that's where the owners aim and they hit the target consistently. bless them.

today's meal also had a delightful surprise - a homemade cream of mushroom soup that was so redolent of butter and cream i could close my eyes and imagine myself at le tour d'argent!

my boyfriend and i wanted to try a new place for date night, and we both loved this place! we got the cheesey bread for an appetizer and then lobster ravioli and were extremely happy with the quality of food and the price it came at! huge portions!! we will be back!

not worth trying. we thought we would give this a try since ig received good reviews. the food was not very good. the pizza was greasy, the pasta had no flavor, the cheese sticks tasted as though they were frozen from a box and the salad was room temperature. so in fact it was terrible. not sure if the kitchen crew were having a bad day when we were there, but we won't be going back.

excellent food. i personally like it better than all other italian places in town. plus way cheaper than the others. also very nice staff. it's quickly becoming a personal favorite.

tasteless overpriced food. not a pleasant atmosphere, food overpriced and tasteless.
can get better italian food at a chain restaurant like carinos or orlandos.
would not go back again.

i love this little gem of a restaurant. it's no frills, everything i've ever tried is tasty, and you cannot beat their lunch specials! (no kidding, under $7 for the entree, salad, bread and a drink?!) i like going during the day for lunch as it's fairly quiet. there's a huge mural in the back dining room, they play italian-style music, and the server (sabia?) is so genuinely kind. it's just inviting overall. the owners are great, and you can tell they love what they do. my favorites so far are the stromboli (it's massive), the meatball parmesan sub (again, huge), the spinach calzone, and the spinach pizza. i've heard the tortellini soup is delicious as well. another thing, their dinner rolls are amazing. crisp and bubbly, with a hint of garlic and herbs. i could get eat my weight in those rolls. when i say it's no frills, i simply mean it's very causal and laid back. what i imagine a family restaurant in a small italian town would be. some called it a hole in the wall on here, but that's not giving italian garden the respect it deserves. it's simple, not a "hole in the wall." it's the type of place of enjoy kicking back after my meal with a coffee, just talking with whoever i'm with. very relaxed atmosphere.

this restaurant is amazing. the sauces are impeccable. pasta always right on. superb tiramisu and homemade salad dressings. my favorites are the veal piccata and the linguine tuttomare with piccata sauce in place of red sauce. super friendly service by both owner and staff. great prices. absolutely one of the best restaurants in lubbock!

...all of our meals came out looking wonderful. the quality is the best i’ve had in lubbock at an italian restaurant. everything is homemade, even down to the salad dressings. the sauces tasted fresh and the portions were perfect. we did not try the dessert but we hear you must get the tiramisu...

best italian in dfw. there's a reason italian garden made diningwithdeliajo's best italian in dfw list.
my husband and i keep going back for their bushel sized basket of fried mushrooms, tortellini soup, caprese salad, and italian sampler, an offering of three traditional pastas in red sauce.

great italian food!!!. i have eaten takeout from italian garden in the past, but today we ate in the restaurant. my daughter treated us to dinner at her favorite italian restaurant. we started out with the fried calimari for our appetizer. it was pretty good. my daughter really liked it. next, my daughter and i had a dinner salad with the house dressing. the house dressing is really good. i even bought a bottle to take home. my daughter had a spinach calzone which she declared to be excellent. my husband ordered a large chicken caesar salad which was also very tasty according to him. they did not skimp on the chicken in his salad. i ordered spaghetti and meat sauce which was also good. for dessert, we took home a cannoli. we split it three ways. i wish we had ordered more as it was very delicious. our server was very nice and right there when we needed anything. we would all go back here.
